Cougars v Stirling
A's 3-2
B's 1-9
C's 0-4
A's - Stirling scored in the first minute then basically set cruise control (maybe the ease of the B's win was in the back of their minds). Cougars made a game of it through the rest of the half forcing a couple of good saves, before deservedly equalising just before half time. Second half perhaps Stirling was slightly shading possession but it was still very even, until Cougars scored on the break which really lifted their confidence and a third followed. Stirling scored their second with 10 minutes to go and were really pressing for the equaliser, hitting the post with a couple of minutes left, but Cougars held up manfully to see out the game for a deserved win.

Re: Saturday Results 25 May
Sounds like it would have been a good game to watch. Is it just me or is that reserves result pretty impressive? Having played against Stirling, I'm not overly surprised because I know they're capable of a big result (reference round 1), but with Cougars currently second, I would have thought things would have been a little more competitive/closer. Bad day at the office for Cougars, or struggling with injuries and the like? Well done Stirling, but hopefully the rest of us can lift and save this season from being a one team race.otto62 wrote:Cougars v Stirling

I'll throw down the respectful challenge for all of us at Villa, and let Stirling know we'll be ready for you come round 10! Definitely the team to beat in the reserves, and I'm confident we can give you a better challenge next time around then we did in round 1.
On a personal note, enjoying the competitiveness of Div.2 this season in the firsts and reserves. Besides Stirling showing strong consistent form in the reserves, it could all end pretty close come seasons end. A lot for everyone to play for. Nice.
Oh, nearly forgot, Monarchs Vs. Villa.
Again, wasn't at the game, but heard the lads had a great win all round.
A's: Villa 6-0 Monarchs
B's: Villa 5-2 Monarchs
Not 100% on those scores, but that's the info I got. Definitely the double for Villa. Well done to a few A's boys who scored braces and our reserves striker with a hat-trick. Been at the club a long time and can't remember the last hat-trick scored for our reserves so great effort given our inconsistent form so far this season. Hopefully we can take that form forward.

Re: Saturday Results 25 May
A perfect translation of yesterdays game Otto62. Very enjoyable from a spectators perspective and well done to both teams for producing such an entertaining game. Congratulations to my beloved Cougars!! Keep up the good work down there Larry and Arthur!! So proud of you lads, un like past years we would have dropped our heads conceding early, you stuck to the game plan, kept your composure, stayed pacient until the result arrived. As for the B's, WTF!!!!?????otto62 wrote:Cougars v Stirling
