Big game this weekend, cant wait for the Inter V Downs Clash

Post by RK2606 »

Looking forward to a great day of soccer and hopefully see a tough contest and have the Black and Blues be the ones to take points from the Downs. Good luck to all and hope the weather is a great day so there can be a good crowd too. :P

We had this discussion at training.. West Adel v Modbury

You would expect being a top of the table clash that the coach would have to be present.

I think in this instance they are talking about the West adelaide v's Modbury game being played on Sunday and that Trimboli (being coach of Modbury) would need to attend as Coach rather than play for the Downs.
Or
Are you saying the result will be the same?

Downs due for a loss.....should be a cracking game, always good value to watch with Nathan Day on the park.

Tight game with Inter to score a late winner. :P

The only thing Inter may do against the Mongs that others havent is score. If this weeks game is big what will next week be :?:

No one gave Inter a chance last week and they proved people wrong , it is the same this week and I am pretty sure you think it will be the same next week. Just hope I am the one smiling after this Sunday and next Sundays match.

How does he feel about being a bench warmer after a pretty lengthy federation career?

you would have to ask him.... i cant comment for him...
dont forget all concerned are aware he can only play half a season...which may or may not be a factor...

Maybe a spot on the Downs bench is a greater achievement than being in the starting 11 of a Fed team? You would have to say the Downs team currently would probably hold their own against a few Fed teams.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I'm happier waiting for my chance on the bench at the Downs than I have been anywhere else I've played.

I'm getting a run in the ressies still, but I know I'd rather be sitting on the bench for a team that's aiming to win things than playing for a team that's getting spanked in Fed (which I know far too much about  )

Well not forever, but with such a quality squad at The Downs, I can't expect to rock up at the club and walk straight into the first team. I'm not that good.
