Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
Interesting round. Metro-Uni and Sturt-PHK are the most interesting games
Metro won all games so far and already smashed Uni once , IMO they'll do it again. Too strong at this stage and Uni haven't got their top player any more...
Sturt and PHK is another interesting game especially after PHK eliminated Sturt from the cup. Sturt will be desperate to get a win under their belt but it won't be easy vs a strong PHK side.
FFSA can beat Fulham who are having a rough time atm. Elimination from the cup vs the top team is acceptable, but conceding 9 goals is not a good sign....Cumby-AC the less interesting game, Cumby did well vs AC in the mid week catch-up game (catch up of the catch up ) conceding only 3 goals but still too much difference between these sides IMO.
Predictions?

I just said Uni will be without her...maybe I was wrong I thought she was going overseas? If She plays it's all different of course with the goals she has been scoring for Uni.

Friday night results: Sturt defeated PHK 3-2.
Sturt were all over PHK in the first half, going into the second half 3-0. Sturt dropped in the second half and conceded 2 goals. Goal scorers for Sturt S.treharne 2, C.Meszaros 1. This could be the win Sturt needed to set them off.

Grapevine chatter is Quigley won’t play.
Rumour has it Uni has brought in a short term overseas replacement for Quigley
With the Uni ‘gun’ line up nothing but a win would be expected
Although Uni had Quigley last time against Metro so must be doubts in their players mind if they can beat Metro

I've heard that Quigs left this morning. Also that Katherine Ebbs guesting for Uni. However all this focus on 'marquee' players does a disservice to the other talented players in the Uni squad. Don't underestimate the team's talent or Tracey's coaching. It will be a good game, IMO.

Metro 3-1
Why do Uni get guest players? I say register them and have them play in the league if not it's a joke. I wouldn't be very happy as a player having others that just walk in as guest players, aren't there any good players capable to play? And what's the benefit anyway if then they leave? Just a thought...

Fair thought 'Easy Tiger'. I wonder if all head coaches would allow players returning from os to walk into their prems side?

Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
Uni is allowed guest players, as is every other team. As for whether it's appropriate to let her play Prems, that's up to the club. I think it all depends on how it's handled by everyone. But it would be pretty ridiculous to make a player of that quality and experience play in reserves just to make a point.
Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
K ebbs has been registered to play with Uni for the time that she is back from USA, why wouldnt she walk into any side... She has just come back from playing college soccer and is fitter and stronger than anyone else on the team.....Not one player in Uni is complaining at all....especially with the players they have lost in the last couple of weeks...
Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
Who did K Ebbs play for before she left for USA. ?

I think with each NEW season there is no need for this. (FFSA put a stop to tying players down)beaches wrote:Must have been cleared by Cumberland.
AFAIK she hasnt registered for cumby this year. She only needs permission from her current club/team to play here and approved by FFSA which she did get.

Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
It's not about tying players down, it's about making sure they're financial with the club they've left before they're allowed to sign up to play somewhere else. Clubs rely on players paying their fees-
Re: Adelaide Airport Premier League Team Lists Round 7
Just saying, because if a player from anywhere plays in the NCAA they do not need a clearance to play because they are not affiliated with FIFA. The individual Colleges/ Uni's out of courtesy give permission for a player to play at their home of origin in summer break. If a player from an FFSA club did not come home in the summer break and was to play for a club team in the USA which is highly likely to be FIFA affiliated then that player would have to be cleared by FFSA and her club here. Then cleared back to her club / in this case FFSA. That is the complexity of playing under FIFA and NCAA rules.
However this is not the case with K Ebbs who would not have been cleared to USA / UNI College by FFSA and would be still an FFSA player. So FFSA has the right to make the decision they have under their rules and FIFA rules.
My original ask of who K Ebbs played for here before she left was just a question. Nothing to do with her coming home from USA NCAA. By what has been said on this forum/topic she would be a fully fledged registered player for UNI not a guest player.
I will stand corrected but Rachel Quigley will have to be cleared out and back where she is going to play. FIFA affiliated I would think.
All so simple hey.
