Sturt-Marion Family Fun Day, Sat May 11 - All Welcome!
To all football supporters and their friends and families - you are all welcome to join us for our Family Fun Day THIS SAT 11th of May.
We are hosting the Adelaide Titans in a twilight fixture at the Marion Sports Club on Sturt Road, EVERYONE is invited to come and join in on the fun. For the Adults we have food and drink, a Howard Vineyard wine tasting and Adelaide Hills Cider on tap to compliment a gourmet BBQ. For the kiddies we have a Bouncing Castle, face painting, photo booth and SUMO suits.
As many of you will have your own club commitments that day, we would love to have you join us later for our A-Grade game at 6pm.
We look forward to seeing you there for the festivities. Full details below.

Where's GIAE to complain about a differing kick-off time in a division he doesn't play in?

It's a one off, the reason given certainly hasn't been proven to be a lie and is a good initiative. Well done to Sturt (and Titans) for agreeing to the kick off time.
Note the last part Bacon (AGREEING TO THE KICK OFF TIME).
Well done to Sturt, I won't be able to make it along but hope the day goes well.

Thanks for the kind words, we hope to make it enjoyable for everyone who can make it and for those who can't, hopefully we can do this another time. And yes, many thanks to Titans for their cooperation!

Yeah and I think they work well. We would love to explore alternate options and if the members support it internally + we continue to receive the excellent feedback above and continue to drive it externally it becomes an easy decision to look outside the norm'. I think if the Saturday divisions are going to even get close to the strength of the Sunday division 1 particularly off the field given the head start in history, it's worth the club's working together to get the most out of a return fixture Event agreement to generate more interest.
We as a club would be happy to field suggestions and look at options - please feel free to email us...........: committee.sturtmarionsc@gmail.com

Big thanks to our committee and those who helped where possible for putting on a great show... to Titans for coming out, supporting the idea and playing all three games in good spirits... thanks also to Hodgey and his Southern Breakers squad who stopped in and kept the bar busy! And of course thanks to everyone for turning out and making it a successful day.
Looking forward to doing it again.
A's - Sturt 3-2 Titans
B's - Sturt 4-1 Titans
C's - Sturt 2-4 Titans ?? (I think)
