Snow white...you're on the money.

Score from last nights game one all. The NTC goal came from a penalty.
The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.

Anything else? Footage? Pics? Surely being at Burton they could film it and stick it on the website for all to see?
Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
The northern stars played very well given that they had not training or played as a team before, they also produced more goal scoring opportunities but were unable to score. I expected that the NTC team would win given that they train and play together.
There were around 50 spectators and neither the bar or canteen were open.
As for filming, yeah right. One ref with parants running the lines.

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
If the location was more central, would that have made a difference ? I think yes.
How hard is it to organise official referee's assistants, and someone to run the canteen, couple of phone calls - or were the ffsa trying to minimise the cost ? Just asking that's all.

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
Except for W-League, that canteen is never open when there aren't men's games being played. Another example of the underresourcing of the girls' and women's game- As for the location of the ground- once West Beach is finished that should allow some of these things to be played at a more central location, although I imagine that there'll be some groans from those people who live in the Northern suburbs. Can't please everyone.
And ironic that the Cumby/City game wasn't played last night after all- Challenge Series disrupted for nothing. Maybe they'll (whoever makes the decision) look at the calendar before re-rescheduling the game this time.

Cumby v City catchup should never have been sanctioned by FFSA the day after the challenge series.
Seriously, it isn't that hard ... following last night's embarrassing debacle, its these unnecessary and preventable administrative oversights which further damages an already damaged perception in the eyes of the players.
Many 'older players' left because of this perception (in parts) and here we are trying to get them back, but performing the same mistakes.
Not good I'm afraid.
Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
Maybe have it a clubs ground with suitable lights, Knights? Open canteen flash up the barbie.
Yes cost would be a factor.
Also who is watching the games to see if any of the players are suitable for the W-League given the Lady reds do not have a coach?

Who indeed is watching these games for Lady Reds consideration.
Lets face it when a coach is appointed they will take next to no regard what has happened in previous games but decide at the time on who and what they see.
As for slagging off - fair point after only first game but the errors are so glaring and could be avoided.BillShankly wrote:Would be nice if people gave it a bit of time to develop!

Double booked catch up game same week of first Challenge.
Catch up game not even played in the end.
Who was coaching North? so much for opportunities for existing Prem or current womens league coaches...back to recycled oldie.
No linesmen – parents doing the job.
Want to avoid a slag off get some basics right FFSA!

After all of these months I've finally caught on where Burton Park is.
Are you all for real? Waterloo Corner Road Burton? Crime capital of SA. Snowtown murders started there. Market gardener killed.

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
So the games went ahead? I was not sure if games where on asked one of the girls who played last week and she indicated they told her that games would be played every month? I thought this strange so we sent a text message to the northern zone coach to see if games were on and off course got no reply? as there was no confirmation email sent to clubs during the week, again an example of lack of real interest.
Anyone see the games? who played?

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
Well, some players clearly got the email because there were plenty of players on the park. Just because you're not in the loop doesn't mean there isn't one.

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
what email? Why did we not receive them?? We have 3 people who receive info/emails from ffsa, none received any email this week about the challenge series game and who was in the squad? obviously some of the the players who played last week also got incorrect info as one of the girls was told games were to be played one every month?? as mentioned I also sent a text message to Northern Zone coach to confirm games were still on, received no reply? Sorry this is not good enough. They want these girls to play but they need to get correct information??

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
So... This week is the first Wednesday of the month. Is this happening this week or has it been postponed because of the scheduled Thursday night round games?

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
I think it has been rescheduled to the 19th- probably due to twilight games this Thursday, and pitch availability next week as several state teams, boys and girls, use Burton as their home ground on Wednesday nights. .
Does anyone have KO's for Thursday night? On sporting pulse they are all listed to start at the same time. There are only 3 pitches. I assume that 2 will start earlier and 2 later?

Re: FFSA Women's Challenge Series
I believe one of the games is being played at Adelaide City or somewhere - park 19?
So the other 3 prems games will be 8.15 KO.
