Drugs in the Amateur League
Drugs in the Amateur League, if its happening in the AFL, do the Chairman's, coaches, Ref's and the other players know who and what drugs are be taken before or during games? Or more that matter spectators, could these drugs be the problem of on field and off field behavioral aspects. I put this out as we need to get the young kids more in sport BUT without being exposed to see people behave while on drugs.

Not sure if serious

So are we going to ask each player coach official and spectator
to give permission to a voluntary drug test .?
Then we will need to ban alcohol and smoking at grounds too !!

Re: Drugs in the Amateur League
If you're talking about performance enhancing drugs then yes I reckon loads are taking them. At my club alone the doctor comes in on a friday night and gives us our "supplement injections". We play in Div 2, but I reckon we'd only be Div 3 without them.

Re: Drugs in the Amateur League
If we start getting tested, I'm screwed.
I have to take about 15 pills just to make it out my front door each morning.
Morning after training 25 pills.
After games, hospital thanks driver.
I think every team that loses a match should be able to request that the winning team is tested
There's no way a team could legitimately win a match through superior fitness, hard work, and team unity.
Ban all the winners I say!

Re: Drugs in the Amateur League
Taking drugs doesn't turn an amateur player into a professional one - cash does!
I'd think making SAASL a clean league would make this forum less interesting...

Most teams had oranges at half time.............we didnt. Spillages due to some smaller changerooms were costly sometimes though.swannsong wrote:Helped them sore like an eagle no doubt !Bomber wrote:Gee, in the 80's my amateur side the whole team would have failed!
