Any decent new faces around Div 2 clubs? Heard Monarchs have a few quality recruits from a Div 1 side, although their pre-season results aren't really setting the world on fire.

I'd be surprised if Sals Villa aren't around the mark as well. Normally a strong side and don't think they'd lose too many players from a normally tight knit bunch.

Unfortunately last year we were hit with many long term and short term injuries, so struggled to field the majority of our starting squads together at the same time. This is football and we are not the first team to have this happen, but unfortunately it resulted in a poor result all round for the club.

In saying that, this preseason has been good and besides a couple, looks like everyone is fit and raring to go. New manager, freshness about the club with some new faces, and team spirit is strong.

We'll definitely be looking to improve big time on last year and are aiming to definitely be in the mix come seasons end.

We wish everyone a great season and best of luck, and we look forward to reviving some old and new rivalries on the park.

Will be good to revive the rivalry we have had in the past between our 2 clubs, always tough affairs.

With Comets and Titans going up I reckon we needed a Derby style game for this year.

Agree, love the Vipers v Villa derbies! Been a while now, but from memory over 6 games the record is 1 win apiece and 4 draws...all great games too.
