MODBURY THROUGH TO SEMI FINALS

Post by cowabunga »

My mail is that Modbury is through to the Semis as White City were disqualified from the MU Cup as they played a 17 year old goal keeper.

If true, must be shattering for the boys that thought they won a penalty shootout.

Some clubs are obviously more interested in the win than the rules. Disappointing considering all the other teams have fielded age correct players and have accepted their results win lose or draw.

I'm not accusing anyone. I'm just stating my opinion that is based on the events of this particular teams disqualification in this event. I am sure the ffsa would not have taken this measure unless they have all the facts. If this is true and it's the fault of the ffsa well then I sincerely feel sorry for your young players as they are the ones going through all this drama. If the ffsa are correct well then my previous comment stands.

I'd say yes, as it's a cup competition and not a league match.

Only if already registered to play in the MU cup - closed several weeks before it began.
Or get WRITTEN and video permission from FFSA.

I heard of players / clubs having other similar issues this year with regos, like 12/3/2013 actually being 3/12/2013, who is to say the FFSA didn't mess this up 15 months ago and it was all lost in 3000 other registrations.
I don't get it anyway, is the issue a messed up rego from a prior club or is the issue a different player played, because these are two different things.

What a joke.

first White city are in the Manchester cup. Then they are out and Modbury get told they are in . Now Modbury are told they are out .

White City apparently have had a registration issue with a goaly. What about the other over age player ?????? Not to hard to go through and look at the birth certificates and previous clubs to work out if it is an accusation or fact . Maybe that leg of the cup should be re- played as none of this is fair on any of the teams .

When a coach comes to our club and brings, players with him he would know what is what . I dont think the club would condone such a practice.

The manuchester cup is looked forward to by all the boys and it should be played on a even field not a win at all costs menatility

Maybe other records should be looked at . if the boys have part time jobs , what is listed on their employment details , school records etc .

I ma not saying this should be done with every one , but where there is smoke their is fire and the ffsa really needs to differenciate the difference between sour grapes and actual complaints

Many of you need to get your facts right before you start posting information you seem to have got 3rd or 4th hand.

There is no "other" over age player as you have suggested

I think you should get your facts right as certain people have bragged about it and getting away with falsified documents .

This person knows exactly what he did a few years ago . You go join the dots and see where you end up . Nothing to do with the actual club , But how can a club soar like an eagle when some new people are pigeons

So, who is in the semi final Modbury or White City?

Just on another note and this isnt a rumour.... After 1 game in the stages of the Man U cup, walking back to the car park , a lad who had just finished playing got in a car and drove off ..... and this isnt a White City player......

The only bit you have right is the bolded bit.

My facts are spot on, there is no "other" over age player so either put up or give it a rest.

There are some questions that should be asked and none here have come remotely close.

Falsified docs is an issue and should not be tolerated.

The question you should be asking in this case is did someone act deliberatly to falsify docs or has there been and error that was not of a deliverate nature and that has only recently come to light.

Sounds like lawyer talk

Seriously though; blunders and innocent mistakes in junior football should be tolerated without persecution. However, cheating, lies and unfairness must be dealt with speedily and with consequences.

I make know assumptions, and post this as a general guide for all junior competitions.

totally agree with this, but im a strong believer that clubs PAY FEES TO THE FFSA and i would expect someone in there to cross check registrations, team sheets or any other paperwork...
i know that clubs have some sort of responsibility but the majority are volunteers and they try to do the best they can...
