We are very happy with what we showed and i thought we held our own today even without our super star :D
Good hospitality at the farm, it was nice to have a cold Guiness after a hard slog.
Big thanks to you and your lads yesterday too, games were played in good spirit and you guys drank us out of Heinkeken :D

Trial game anytime, keep in touch !!
Only got to see the last 15 mins and you guys looked pretty spent. Its a big pitch and a warm day but was impressed with what I saw. Good bunch of guys also.

Good luck for the year.

1-2 in the bs i think
0- 5 in as

good hitout for all teams, not a lot in the ressies game with brahma getting a player sent off in the 1st half but downs shading us for the win.

a grade a little bit more one sided with some quality finishes from the downs lads but the brahma did perform quite well but couldnt find the net unlike the downs who were far more clinical in front of goals.

the day was soured early with the plane crash across the road wich probably spun everyone out from both clubs and really the football was second for the day after that. good luck for the downs for the season they will be up and there abouts again.
Thoughts go out for the pilot of the plane that lost his life. And special thoughts to the Downs lads (Steedy and Jeff) that went to the scene to see if they could help...never easy to react and take in a scene like that :(
Crazy scene thankfully it wasn't a hundred metres closer. Won't forget that in a hurry nor the look on steedys face a minute or so later after he scaled the fence to see if he could help. Really feel for him and the other lad.
Gotta agree on all of the above. Downs were very clinical yesterday. Although we created our chances there net was rarely tested. Downs played some decent football in the first team and once again should give the league a shake. All the best to them and cheers for the day.

Sour note, condolences to the family and friends of that poor pilot. Watched the whole thing and that image will be near impossible to forget. The sound enough was intense to say the least. Admirable work from Jeff and steedy, albeit to no avail.

Hahndorf 0 West Beach 0 (duration 1 min)

Hahndorf kicked off strung three passes together before West Beach intercepted only to give it back, the subsequent back pass was misdirected resulting in a 50/50 contest that ended with a sickening injury. Hahndorf idol PetulantMagpie suffered a broken leg and by the time the ambulance arrived the contest was called off.

He will be sorely missed this season and we all wish him a speedy recovery.

Gardens looked good - Fulhams 1st real test and a gd 1 to have a month out from the season - plenty to work on but time to get it right.
Any news about the Fulham C team? Didnt they play?

Cmon Bigpond you can be a little more complimentary than that no on second thoughts leave it at that or the Mongs will get paranoid.

If there were stats taken for them game it would be possession 80/20 & shots 30/3 to Gardens.

Thanks to Adelaide City for allowing us to use their pitch & to Fulham for the game will see you boys in round 6. All the best for the season.

surely he won't miss the whole season with a broken leg. If he does then poor bloke must have been a terrible break and no one likes to see those.

That is the true result of the Mt Barker and Strath games. Strath never had one shot at goal in two matches . Good luck to them for the season.
