Each month the NTC Squad will conduct training sessions at a club and invite three players from that particular club to train with squad and experience the commitment and quality of this level.
Newly appointed NTC Coach Geoff Hargreaves believes it is a great way to demonstrate the program to club players, coaches and parents and hopefully unearth some gems within our club system.
“Often it is hard for players to have such an experience, and we believe by allowing young players at a club to see what is required, it may inspire them to strive to work hard and dream of playing at that level,” he said.
The first visit will be at Cumberland United Women’s Club on Monday, March 11, followed by a visit to Para Hills on April 8.
The sessions are open sessions for the girls at each club to come and watch and also for coaches to observe and ask any questions on the development of Girls Football.
The aim of the sessions is to empower club coaches with football specific tools to further develop and improve their own weekly training sessions.
If any club is interested in booking the NTC Girls Squad for a club visit, please contact Geoff Hargreaves on 8340 3088 or Geoff.hargreaves@ffsa.com.au

Any reports on these visits?
Great idea, should give players some good experience and preparation.

Re: FFSA NTC Girls Squad Club Visits
Two visits so far, two more scheduled in the next couple of weeks. One club received the visit with enthusiasm, all senior coaches present with some young players participating. The second club not so much. It's a good opportunity for coaches and players IMO, but some coaches won't see it that way and will deny their players, and themselves, the opportunity to learn something and be seen. Too bad.

This is a great concept and initiative from NTC coach. Embracing this inclusive program can only provide another dimension to training sessions for players at clubs. Get as many young players out to watch and learn from this experience.

Re: FFSA NTC Girls Squad Club Visits
Well done by Para Hills East tonight- great hospitality for the NTC girls. Even though there was no other training on they had coaches out there watching and opened up the canteen, providing hot soups and chips for the girls after training on a cold, rainy night. That's top notch hospitality. Many thanks.

Re: FFSA NTC Girls Squad Club Visits
Fantastic club visit to Panthers tonight- u13 girls watched, several older juniors participated in drills and then all of the girls played a game with NTC girls followed by sausage sizzle- very friendly supportive atmosphere and a good time was had by all. Well done to Leigh Matthews for ensuring a good turnout and to the parents and players at Panthers.
