This forum is for the discussion of women's football, the fastest growing participation sport in Australia. This includes local women's football and the A-League Women.
Congrats Sian and Tracey. Will keep a keen eye out (as will all other football followers) on your progress in Malaysia.
Tracey is making strong progress in womens football and is a brilliant female coach to watch out for on the local scene in the not too distant future. Assistant coaching duties mean the big job is only a hop skip and a jump away!
Congrats also to the girls from SASI who have been invited to the next young matildas camp i think next week. Vicki Balomenos, Kristi Harvey, Kirralea Brock, Lauren Chilvers, Stacey Day and Katrina Bexis.
SA PROUD!
Gubbo and team chi r #1!DJ Di is my hero!
ASIAN-SENSATION ARE FOREVER!
Hope for these girls sake that the "usual" path of elimination from the squad is not one they take. Over the last few years SA girls have NOT been treated that well and our representation at national level is of concern. The girls must have talent and ability to get noticed however, Its up to the mob there at kidman park to get them firing on all eights!
Agreed in part Deyy. However, but its at the last hurdle that SA girls seem to get omitted. Three girls went and none made it to Russia. Since Stocco we have noone in the Youth Matildas. Reasons are far a varied however, preparation to hit the ground running is a must hence the "mob's" responsibility I would disagree with you in that just getting to camp is sufficient. Unless you're happy at second best.
Everyone held there own at camp from all states.
The quality and ability levels were high and on par all round.
It wont be an easy task picking a team.
