HARGREAVES & FULHAM
I see he is going around again at Fulham - he must he happy there.
The whole conflict of interest thing has blown over by the looks if it.
My mail is he uses his FFSA influence to get a few favours down at Fulham in terms of his inside knowledge at the FFSA.

Hey peoples News Flash....There ain't any intel anyone could bring to the women's comp that could make a difference at the moment. Realistcally, anyone who has the eneregy to want to take on a gig in the comp needs to be grabbed and chained down.
So...less focus on the conspiracy theories and more on getting the disintergrating comp should be the focus. Somehow don't think that will happen.

We need more people like him, and less people like you who want to take a cheap shot.

Hey he gets judged on results - last years results were not better than the previous years for Fulham - talk about style of play, game plan or whatever you want but at senior level it is based on results you would think.
Let's see how he does this year.

Never knock a person, or club, because they show some initiative - I wouldnt be surprised if some of the clubs are whinging because they didnt think of it ( and I have nothing to do with either party ).
Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
Spot on General.
The women's game hasn't got the luxury of criticising anyone who has the fortitude to get in and do something. The silence from many other clubs is deafening. The lack of activity is why many of thsoe clubs eeking out an existence year to year. Nothing long term because peopel get tired of the poorly run comp and leave.

I too support the General's comments. When the comp was still SAWSA, I was on the committee, use to be in charge of publicity. At one meeting I asked if any clubs wanted a free write up in the Messenger, if they could contact me with some info, I would do it for them, but they had to ring me, I wasnt going to chase them.
Only 2 clubs contacted me, the late Tony Downes from Noarlunga, and the delegate from Fulham.
As I was not tied to any club, I also offered to do some alternative training sessions, again at my expense ( just so the regular coaches could have a break and sit back and observe their players )and Fulham was the only club that showed interest.
Dont criticise because the grass is looking greener in someone else's yard, maybe you just need to put more water on your own lawn.

If I were him I wouldn't get too comfortable as from what I hear he is getting, they better have a gd year or it could be his last there.

Call me clueless...I'm relatively new to the world of women's football. My daughter played in a small junior team last year....But what is being implied in all these posts?

Terminator has a beef with Geoff and thinks firing off shots anonymously at him on a public forum is the right way to deal with it.wilyaroo wrote:Call me clueless...I'm relatively new to the world of women's football. As I've said before, if I was Geoff and read this rubbish I'd just walk away from women's football, there's plenty of clubs that would be more than happy to have his footballing knowledge on board.
Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
Well I know my men's club has been after him but is committed to woman's football, they tried again this year and again said no.paul merson wrote:Terminator has a beef with Geoff and thinks firing off shots anonymously at him on a public forum is the right way to deal with it.wilyaroo wrote:Call me clueless...I'm relatively new to the world of women's football. No wonder woman's football is such a joke when u eat your own. Terminator certainly sounding like a bitter fool with little support.
How about u find other small minded mates that can tell u how smart and intelligent u are terminator and get that fat ass of yours out to support woman's football. Ignorance and uneducated is no longer an exuse
Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
I was thinking the same - I am by no means saying Geoff is the best thing going around, but he is way too good to be wasting his time in the womens game, especially if this is the cr@p he has to put up with.paul merson wrote:Terminator has a beef with Geoff and thinks firing off shots anonymously at him on a public forum is the right way to deal with it.wilyaroo wrote:Call me clueless...I'm relatively new to the world of women's football. I see your want to have a shot at GH got ahead of the facts Terminator ,
2013 NTC coach - Geoff Hargraves .
With his experience with young players ( Fulham had at least 5 first team starters 16 or under last year , hence their inconsistency )* regarding your next comment*
and his ability to communicate , he is the Ideal NTC coach & should have probably had that job last year as well.
Fulhams loss but certainly NTC girls gain.

Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
Disappointing to see that the Fulham Executive Committee had to read about Geoff's departure on a public forum after all the support he was given at the start of last season when all the conflict of interest and finger pointing was about.
Good luck to Geoff in his new role.

So for all the people that have praised Geoff on here how can they defend him after that comment?
Not doubting he is a gd coach and works well with girls but a bit of integrity is also needed as a coach and it looks like it was lacking here from his actions in not letting the Fulham Executive committee know before anyone else and especially before it got onto a forum.
Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
From what I can see Terminator's comment was on the Sunday night and appeared to be based around "conflict of interest'. My daughter was informed of his move Monday evening at training. Personally, I see that as completely appropriate.
Again, this is our first year in a Prems club, so I may be naive. But, I have no problem with the course of events. I am very sad Geoff will be leaving, however I am glad my daughter had the opportunity to train with a great coach. Good luck to Geoff.

I only knew Geoff resigned when I read it on the forum just like the Fulham Executive committee did if u go by bigponds comment.
If u think it is appropriate for the Fulham Executive committee to find out the man they hired had resigned on a public forum then u r right when u said u are naive.
Have the balls to ring them and tell them personally.
Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
I am only going on your initial post Mr terminator. Is there some other forum I missed? (seriously).
My initial question related to "conflict of interest" and what was being implied bt that. That is all. The fact that Mr Hargreaves has left fulham would have resolved your issue?

Re: HARGREAVES & FULHAM
GH never posted on this Forum about his new position with NTC, someone else blabbed it. What surprises me is how quickly the newly appointed coaches at Fulham appeared on this forum. So it seems obvious people at Fulham must have been aware of the situation. Once again there are axe grinders putting their 2 cents worth in. Hope the culprits are putting plenty into their own clubs instead of firing bullets at GH and and the Fulham Club.
I know that GH was happy to coach Fulham when Nenita Burgess resigned as coach before the commencement of the 2012 season because a youth policy had been put in place in the 2011 season and GH continued in the same vein. All the best to GH and great he is staying in Womens Football.
Where is Neits now? Back in the Philippines as the Technical Director for Chelsea Football Club/ Philippines/ Football Clinics. These Clinics are for boys and girls aged 8-16 yrs. For a woman to hold the position that Neits does is unusual in Asia. At the Chelsea FC Coaches Seminar in Hong Kong last December out of the 30 coaches in attendance from most Asian Countries where Chelsea conduct these Clinics she was one of two women I believe.

So bagman posts Geoff is off to NTC and your telling us this is where Fulham find out about it, assuming someone from Fulham is watching this forum all day everyday they then release a new coaching line up the same day?terminator wrote:What has my post Sun night got to do with it?wilyaroo wrote:From what I can see Terminator's comment was on the Sunday night and appeared to be based around "conflict of interest'. Terminator you obviously have a personal issue with GH, if you are going to fire off shots at him questioning his integrity ect at least put your name to them.
There is nothing worse than people having a go at others behind the safety of a user name, yes I'm questioning your integrity, and as I've made public many times I am Dan Godley and happy to discuss this if you see me at any games.

Dan I stand to be corrected, but I think big pond is from Fulham, men side anyway, and he broke the news about Fulham committee not being advised directly.paul merson wrote:So bagman posts Geoff is off to NTC and your telling us this is where Fulham find out about it, assuming someone from Fulham is watching this forum all day everyday they then release a new coaching line up the same day?terminator wrote:What has my post Sun night got to do with it?wilyaroo wrote:From what I can see Terminator's comment was on the Sunday night and appeared to be based around "conflict of interest'. I don't agree with terminators approach but it would also appear that either his/her arguments are based from 'internal' leaks and not the work of individuals from other clubs as has been implied in this thread (not by you either).

The goalkeeper is the jewel in the crown and getting at him should be almost impossible. It's the biggest sin in football to make him do any work.
