Have you seen the girls these days? 14 year olds look like 20 year olds, at the end of the day everyone has a card and if not that's why we have card checks.

You carry on as though the problem is endemic. But it isn't.Cabbage Leaf wrote:U14s look like u17s ?

You just want something to whine about.
Time for some righteous indignation

Re: Cards / Registrations
Not Whining , but there should be some relevance to fairness when it's juniors.
But at the end of the day many have 'win at all costs ' attitude.
Those who cheat only cheat themselves in the end.
But winning the league is more important for them.

So what you're saying is West Adelaide / Adelaide City / MetroStars / PH etc are all playing overage players and are rorting the system, because they are the clubs winning leagues.

Re: Cards / Registrations
No not pointing the finger at any club but making the point that some clubs still do it to progress. The clubs you mentioned aren't the only ones that have had recent'success'
Re: Cards / Registrations
Our club got the PDF file and a printed booklet, which was a bit pointless as Junior teams don't need Senior teams details and vice versa. So our Club Registrar grouped the players into their relevant age groups and printed these out for the coaches. For example the U15 coaches have a booklet just with eliglbe players (through age and skill level) that can play U15. This was done for every age group so players can have free movement and coaches and mangers can plan their teams without the stress of who has their card OR if a player turns up without it.

Re: Cards / Registrations
So how does a club register a player when that player was registered at another club for 2012 and the club have not signed a release form?

Re: Cards / Registrations
The club sends through a copy of the form to FFSA and it will be processed anyway, unless the player has outstanding monies owed to his original club.AL K HOLIC wrote:So how does a club register a player when that player was registered at another club for 2012 and the club have not signed a release form?

Not to worry, my mail is that FFSA has decreed that rego cards will be without photos and there will be no card checks in 2013.
That solves that problem

I heard the same. I can't understand FFSA's position on it. This will create lot of arguments during games. Another bad decision.....Green_Manalishi wrote:Not to worry, my mail is that FFSA has decreed that rego cards will be without photos and there will be no card checks in 2013.

Terrible decision and is a joke, anyone can play whoever they like. Red cards will now be useless as the same player can play and just use another card, how easy is it for a club to keep a few registered players that don't play, and are just spare cards for red cards.
We would all love to think every club is honest but it's just not reality, and has been proven every year.
Re: Cards / Registrations
well i guess you can still line up the players and ask them for their full name and date of birth
personally i couldnt care less, i have never asked for a card check, the majority of junior coaches do the right thing.

Re: Cards / Registrations
you're right, but we do see complaints every year about this type of thing, so what is it going to create? why even allow it to be a chance, is putting on a photo that hard?
Look at the cup last year, is this to prevent such an incident because now there is no proof.

What too soon?
Whilst adults that achieved FA are playing out their dreams through kids football there will be idiots trying to rort the system. Clubs need to have kpi's that reflect development rather than results based.
In saying that its easy at the time for 'kids' to get caught up in the moment, I remember thinking I was the business winning cup finals through the juniors, it's not until you hit seniors you realise how minor they are.
