Re: Officials stuff up womens final
Officials in both finals struggled, they cannot handle pressure of finals football.
Coaches dont help the situation by jumping up and down on the sidelines, cop it on the chin and move on, usually works out even in the end. You can hear the players constantly whinging to the ref, I had to turn the mute button on. Just accept it guys/gals and move on.
Having said that, the girls deserve better quality officials - if the women referees arent good enough for finals they shouldnt be doing them.
There was one penalty saved by the Perth GK ( during the shootout )where she did move off the line, and save was allowed, makes up for the last penalty they took.
The free kick that perth scored from was never a free kick, good fair tackle any day of the week
Sydney player should have been sent off , in hip and shoulder bump she allegedly raised her elbow and it came in contact with the opponents jaw - ref was only 10m away, even the commentators were stunned.

The officials shouldn't struggle as women are refereeing mens senior games that are way above the standard and speed of womens national league football. Womens' football is very structured and flows predictably so should be simple to control. The penalty debacle was a stupid line call.
I did feel sorry for the womens game today but look forward to the Syd-Melb final next week.
