Over 35's teams for 2013

Post by Gooners fan »

Now the most important topic in amateur league football!
:D
Probably about 2 months too early to ask but are there any teams leaving or coming into the prestigious over 35's competition this year ??

Oh fuck yeah, we're in.
& I recruited us a proper keeper about 1/2 hr ago, (thank heavens!) but have been informed I still have to take all the goal kicks.
Looking forward to it.
When does the season kick off?
If any other o35's teams want a trial match/ kickabout before the season starts just pm me. Ladywood will be available, dates can be sorted out in time.
And to Easties, can we try and get the curtain raiser for the Rebecca Cup happening this year as was mooted last year?
Cheers ears. Rhino.

1130 is the usual, but there are some clubs that occasionally alter this due to pitch and change room clashes with their other teams. Jets really old boys kick off at 1 always, Inter had a couple at 930 last year, farm a few at 1100 and Gully and downs a few at 1200.

Would be good to see another team come into the League this season so there wouldn't be a bye...

No, that's what half of our club have thought after reading this. & yes a very handy player, but not ours. Hawkesy calls Mick W Wolfie after the growth he had when he came to play Rezzies with us.
Any news from your old boys about the Cup?

There wont be a 35's team at Gardens we lost a few of our older players to another club

Easties have put in an O35's team this year although were yet to break the good news to the old boys :D
Were trying to make sure enough of our O35's (should really be O45's for most of our team!) are available for Rebecca's cup this year so we can really make a day of it.
