We almost scored in the second half, ball stopped on goal line. What game were you watching, hard to see from so far back behind the goals in the car was it.Left Right Out wrote:Downs 0 Macedonia 0
Downs had a full strength side apart from Radford and Taylor, Macedonia didnt go over the halfway line in the 2nd half.
No Referee???? Hard to play without an official ref "No offence Nobby"

The Grove b team was massively under strength due to one of the lads bucks shows on Saturday night and clipsal, with only three players playing who I'd expect to be there come the start of the season, thus an easy win for GullyPilots wrote:Gully B's whipped the Peckers about 10 nil (I lost count after 6)
and lucky the A's had a decent keeper otherwise they would have been looking at double figures as well, but well done to the Peckers who put on a solid performance and ran us silly in the first half.
As for the A's being lucky I disagree. We were sh1t for the first ten minutes and went 1-o down. Then were the better side for the a long period of the game before running out of legs. Yes our keeper did have a good game but you're off your head if you think it could have been double figures considering you only equalised to make it 2-2 in the last ten minutes.
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

Decanio,
your lucky you didnt have your legs snapped, i thought about it!!
anyway, how many shots did the peckers have in the second half, in fact did it get out of your half?
You had 3 shots for the game and scored 2, we had 20 shots and scored 2, if it wasnt for the keeper we would have had 10 (8 more missed!!)

I only saw the second half (due to a big bucks night) I thought Gully had most the play, but the Peckers did have a few chances in that half, not as many as Gully, but isn't this only a trial game, our first one, your second, so who really cares, at the end of the game we were pretty happy with our run. That's all that matters to our coach.Pilots wrote:Decanio,

to true dicanio, you werent lucky, the keeper is part of the team who just happened to be best on the ground.after we started well and scoring early your guys physical aproach(not dirty) and pressure unnerved us with your striker using his body well scored 2 identical goals.for the remainder of the half i thought you guys were just on top though no side really put the keepers under for the remainder of the half.with a tinker of the formation and 4 half time changes we were no longer physically intimidated and controlled the second half , your right dicanio 10 might be stretching it a touch but shitters from 30 yards that cannon of the cross bar??couple cleared of the line and the keeper making some outstanding saves tell me we were pretty solid overall, but fairs fair you guys led for a large portion and took us a long time to get past your keeper so therefore you werent lucky and im sure shirdy took plenty out of your first trial game, good luck 4 the year

Big Danny McCombie in goals for the first team?
Last time I saw that was in Melbourne on end of seaseon trip in 99 against Altona Magic. We were smashed and 1 nil down at half time. I went up front and McCombie went in goals. Lost 6 - 1. ( I was only one to score that weekend!!) Is this a taste of things to come onthepissagain????
