I find it funny and bizarre that we slur players/coaches for changing clubs. Ben was a great goalkeeper whilst at Gardens and put his body and soul on line for the club. He chose to go to the Downs a few years ago and has found some success. Good on him I think. Gardens moved on and became succesful its what happens.

Ands lets not forget the gardens have never ever brought in a journeyman to win a title for them.
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Michael Brookes ?

Why was he brought in when JV had been a star the season before?

Is Bigpond causing trouble again ? He can't help himself . Just like his last ditch full body tackles on the pitch.

Wow what a load of shit i read on here. First it's the start of Dec why the rush. Most teams don't start pre season until late jan anyway. Gardens are a proud club who will still be up there next year. I'm sure they are working hard on the right man for the job.

I'm sure your Reserve side and your "C" team the only team to win anything wouldn't
like to hear you saying the A's are all that count ..! :clown:

Get back in your hole Rodent where you belong.

In terms of having a coach having an A team coach now is what counts is what I said - you wouldn't want to be in late Dec not having an A Team coach as he leads the way in terms of teams - there was nothing said that the B Team and C Team dont count - all titles at the club are appreciated and I myself have been involved in B & C titles and the club treats them with the respect it deserves.

Player roster is why the rush, if you leave it too late deals may have been done and your choices are limited by the time you appoint.

I am quite surprised that some clubs haven't appointed a senior Coach as of yet, seems late for me

Coaching staff will already be planning their preseason and working on players to strengthen their squads...My opinion only.

i don't totally agree a lot of players aren't decided on their future yet. I know of a few players who were in regular touch with a guy and didn't make their decision until he was appointed at a club and spoke to them. Gardens have a lot of club people that will stay regardless of who coaches them

Not into this "players following a coach" lark.....to me, although it does show some respect, it also shows a lot of disrespect to the club you are leaving and hints of expecting favouritism...IMHO.

A coach can decide their future, whether they stay or not as well

Jut provides uncertainty for mine which is never a good thing.

Whoever coaches pawafield this year will be on a
hiding to none.
For a club with so much recent success, the
pawafield hierarchy must ask its self
1. why did the coach leave
2.why are the players leaving
3.why is the support dwindling
4.why did you only get 8 people at your AGM
5. WHY CANT YOU FIND A COACH

For such a "proud" club with "strong family values"
these are a few prickly questions one should ask ones self!!

Somethings off at pawafield
