Bill
With SAWSA's permission, I'd like to arrange some friendly games between the U15 State Development Squad and say U17 club sides.
I intend to speak with SAWSA next week.

So if anyone is interested, let me know.

Of course the U15's as well, sorry.

Trial games are much needed both for clubs and the state dvelopment teams.

re; trials

Post by barbarian »

If the trials are designed to benefit the teams/clubs and the development squad playing U15 female club teams would be useless to the dev squad and the club team also.
Other than cumberland the dev squad even playing u17 would not benefit them very much also.
the U15 Dev squad should be playing against u14 boys teams or womens reserve teams to get any real benefit out of the trials. They need to play against strong opposition to put them under pressure so as they get some benefit out of the game.

And this is ground breaking news how?
Of course the game has to be challenging.
Have a little faith in the organisers will you.

Metro Women's will play Modbury Jets U16's lads and U15's lads this Friday night at Burragah Reserve (Kelly Road). 7pm Kick off for both games.

U16's will play their Premier Team (for want of a better word) and U15's will play against their 'B' side (again, for want of a better word).

Disclaimer: No disrespect intended by team names.

A slight change to above. Only U15's are playing now (as the U16's have cancelled) and it will be played at Jet Park with KO at 7:30pm.

Bar will be open so all welcome to and watch and have a drink.

Game finished with Modbury U15's winning 6-0 HOWEVER, the scoreline doesn't show how the girls tried very hard to change their tempo and game to suit our lads.

Frank has a very talented bunch of women and should do well as they all have good skills. Best of luck and thank you for the run out.

Mrs Trainer - you did a pretty good job in goals in the Reserves game.

I saw you display some impressive saves (well they looked impressive from where I was standing) :D

Don't discount the effect the heat had. It wouldn't surprise me if you have a bit of sun/heat stroke from being out in the sun for so long. It makes things feel ten times worse the next day. Kinda like too much alcohol...

My face is still "cooling down" so to speak :?

I think I need some of that sports sunscreen. SPF Moisturiser just didn't cut it :(
