Under 13s in 2013
I hear there will be 12 teams in Under 13 JPL Div A next season. Does that mean the 13s will be made up of
JPL Div A - 12 teams
JPL Div B - ? teams
JSL
I suppose 12 teams is a good number with 22 rounds being played as maybe not quite enough teams to make up 3 JPL divisions.

Re: Under 13s in 2013
Where has this rumour started from? This would be a change from previous years policy, Top 10 teams from 2012 (3 * South, North and Central + best 4th place)+ skilleroo U14 girls.
This is either a decision that 18 games isn't a long enough competition for JPL 'A' or somebody stirring because Metro Stars would miss out via the system used in the last 2 years because they would be the 11th team.

Thats the line up I heard.
Would be interesting to hear FFSA's reasoning for the change in team numbers !!

Re: Under 13s in 2013
Are the FFSA going to do the same thing in the U14 competition as well, with Para Hills and metro Stars due to be relegated?

They also did something to the U14 going into U15, 2 down one up from all leagues, of course these are just drafts, but I'm sure all 2nd placed clubs will have complaints ready to submit, from any age group.

It seems at least a couple of clubs are not entering U13's next year so make sense to have two larger divs rather than 2nd and 3rd having six or seven teams only.

some clubs are not listed yet have 13s also.
If that's the case then let's do it in every age, most Cs have 7/8 teams, two leagues of 14 is way better than a 3rd league playing everyone three times. All 3 leagues should be the same, if they have 3,
8-8-8 / 9-9-9 / 10-10-10 what ever.
Re: Under 13s in 2013
at the end of the day nominations are not even closed, therefore some of those clubs may not even have teams, and some not listed may have made teams over trials.
Re: Under 13s in 2013
I dont understand then how FFSA can be sending out proposed structures if nominations aren't even closed yet !!
Not surprising I suppose !!

Re: Under 13s in 2013
As much as clubs don't like to say it, leagues do matter, especially if the age group is possibly going into the As.
Although the FFSA explain that leagues can change, and in some cases clubs request lower leagues, they need more structured rules when it comes to league promotion and relegation. They need to explain right from the beginning how many up, & how many down, in every league. What if Modbury for example sold the fact they have U15A football for their players & coach (recruited or old) then find out 2nd doesn't get promotion & lose their coach and 5 players, as they also trialed elsewhere.

Dec 7 I believe then the clubs complain and request etc.
U14A this year was 12 teams (including skilarroos) now it's 11 (including skillaroos) with 2nd placed Croydon missing out. Why have a bye? The skillaroos are a bye, now they will have two rounds.

A reliable source would be the document already circulated to clubs a few days ago.Coach_Mulatinho wrote:so what is the FFSA planing to do? are we just speculating or is there any reliable source?

Time for some righteous indignation
