Possible Socceroos LB option

Post by richy »

Ersan Adem Gülüm (25 years of age) is a Turkish-Australian footballer who plays as a defender for Beşiktaş in the Süper Lig.

He is versatile and can play as a Centre Back or Left Back

He is a former Australia u23 player

He is currently deciding whether to play for Turkey or Australia but is said to be very positive about playing for Australia.

If Holger Osieck gives him an opportunity maybe he could be the answer to our LB woes.

He's also a bit of a mad bastard.
You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relativities.

Apparently he has already decided on Turkey. But that was around 12 months ago and Turkey haven't played him yet, maybe he might have changed his mind. Typical FFA though it takes madia attention on a player before they considering playing him.

Craig Goodwin will be the next permanent (or longer term) Soceroos left back. With Zullo a possible stop gap in the next 2 or so years.

I got confused...

I was thinking of this mad bastard

Although interestingly.......

Aust striker Bulut back on track: Lavicka
Time for some righteous indignation

Good luck to the lad. He's too old to make the olyroos next squad? If so I hope to see him touch base with a socceroo squad camp soon.
