Congratulations to Mr Ebomo on a 4th medal - there is no doubting his credentials and he has been and still is a great player. This may well not have been his finest season however which is what may have caused some of the consternation but I am sure no one doubts his ability.

Interesting that no Downs players were on the leader board after ten rounds when many had conceded the title had been won - does this suggest that is was a wholly team performance with no standouts among the squad or a general referees unwillingness to award the Downs anything?

team performance = team winning league... i'd be happy with that!!!

same can be said of comets in sat div 2... won the league and only lost last game of season and none of their players were in the top 6 and also none of the players received more than 9 votes...

on a side note: well done Micky M from titans again.. to win the POY and top scorer playing 11 games from 16. :D

From the games that I saw, thought it would have been a tough ask for anyone from the Downs to win it.
Of the 3-4 games that I saw this year there were a lot of standouts apart from the 2 lads nominated.... Agars, Aldridge, Brennan, Trimboli, Red, Marwe. All those guys would have pulled votes away from the 2 in the running.

I think its a case of if there was 24 votes up for grabs - that there would be 6/7 players polling those votes. Where as at other clubs perhaps 1,2,3 players that were regularly getting votes.

What a disgrace (as sufc12s puts it) that Paul Ebomo wins the Player of the Year for a forth time in a row at the Gardens

Well done & congratulations to "The Chief" & it was great to see the league ask Bert Fuda (who has also won 4 but not in a row) to present the trophy.

Funny how the Mongs are trying to justify why they didnt get enough votes after running away with the league & obviously not too happy about not taking all the trophies as they expected. Just to help you justify things when Paul won his first in 2009 we finished 8th (he also polled 9 votes in 2008 after half a season also finishing 8th) then in 2010 & 2011 we finished top then this year we finished third & he still wins it.

Facts are gentlemen Mr Ebomo is the best player in the SAASL & will be going around again next season to make it 5 maybe then he will get the respect he deserves :D

Every year he has won it, an Ingle Farm player has finished second. I don't even like the number 2!
2009 - Chris Ennis
2010 - Lachlan Campbell
2011 - Lachlan Campbell
2012 - Paul Jones

Well done to Paul Ebomo for winning the award again. No matter what others think, its how the referee votes that ultimately counts.

CONGRATULATIONS to Andy Kanga who has been a brilliant addition to the club this season. We agree that it is an amazing effort, considering his absence through injury and he also played in a B's game or two.

In my opinion, his approach to the game and love of the game is there for all to see. He wears his heart on his sleeve and has been a great person to have at the club.

Well done Kanga and next year we will win the league!
