Serie A Week 7
Inter take out a fiery derby, while Milan continue to struggle in mid-table.
Lazio and Fiorentina keep up pace with the top teams with wins.
Napoli and Juve continue their undefeated starts with wins against Udinese and Siena respectively as we now break for international games for the coming weekend.
Where has Pepe been for Juve by the way? Haven't even seen him on the bench since pre-season and haven't read anything about a serious injury or anything like that?

With the 3-5-2 you guys play, he can only play on the right. You have Lichsteiner and Isla (who IMO is the best option) so clearly no room for him.David Puddy wrote:Inter take out a fiery derby, while Milan continue to struggle in mid-table.

Massive game in 2 weeks time. We go in with no pressure whatsoever and I expect us to get beaten easily
Re: Serie A Week 7
Pepe has been injured. Juve started well in Siena, but the performance regressed as the game went on and it could have gone either way in the second half. We dodged a few bullets, so did they, then Principino was on hand. We got the points, now time to put the game behind us, go into the break then concentrate on Napoli. But it's at times like this I wish we didn't have so many internationals. It would have been a great time to rest, especially mentally.
Abbiati with a bad mistake for the goal and Inter deserved their early lead, although Milan can feel aggrieved they did not get an equaliser. Referee blew the whistle for a foul by Emanuelson on Handanovic which was non-existant, and Montolivo then put the ball in the net. They also had a strong shout for a late penalty. But I did like Allgeri afterwards - "Seeing as I never speak of referees" -
Lazio did the business comfortably, but geez if Atalanta put their early chances away against Roma it could have been so different. Can't believe they weren't in the lead after 20 minutes. What an assist after that from Totti for Lamela.

Cosmi not happy
Siena boss Serse Cosmi has hit out at Juventus matchday boss Massimo Carrera after Sunday’s Serie A game.
The Old Lady collected the three points thanks to a 2-1 victory in a game which saw Cosmi dismissed in the first half.
“Carrera? I only know the Porsche Carrera,” the former Lecce and Perugia tactician stated at the Stadio Franchi.
“I, unlike some people who are bumbling along, have coached in the top Division before, therefore I know what it means to win and lose.
“However, I’m calm because whoever acts as an arrogant now will eventually get what they deserve…”
Cosmi was reacting to claims by Carrera that Juventus played a “great game” and that they had “pinned Siena into their own half” in the tie.
Carrera is Juventus boss on match-days while Antonio Conte serves his suspension. The latter will return to the touchline on December 9 after having his 10-month ban slashed to four months.

Yeah amazing yellow that first one.Juventino wrote:Which came after a yellow which shouldn't have been given.
As for the second incident I thought he was gone.
Possible due to the contact being on the foot and not up the leg? He did have some back swing so I thought he was gone.
As for the Calao incident I tend too agree it should be a pen.
The wrestling in the box has to stop, it happens in every game.
I recall P Carnavaro rugby tackle on either Chiellini or Legretallia in Naples at a corner leading to a serious shoulder injury.
Its not in the rules and is really policed.

I'm not suprised Sensi was upset.
In Carrera's defence he has made some quite good changes and changed games.
He is learning, as for pinning Siena back, yeah there were long periods of the second half were that happened but it was more likely that Siena were happy with a point and decided not to take risk's.
That said Siena had the 2 best chances of the game and missed both.
They could of been 3-1 up, thats their own fault, no one else's.

lol, the first was hardly a foul, let a lone a card.getborn wrote:Juve still enjoying the rub of the green, Chiellini had to go.
I think he was making up for his mistake as he'd seen the replay.

Ok, sort of like Zuniga in the Supercoppa, clearly fouled before commiting a foul & subsequently sent off.BAGGIO 15 wrote:lol, the first was hardly a foul, let a lone a card.getborn wrote:Juve still enjoying the rub of the green, Chiellini had to go.

http://www.sbnation.com/seriea/2012/10/ ... isio-pirloAt about thirty minutes in, the match started to disintegrate. The Stadio Artemio Franchi roared its displeasure when Giorgio Chiellini, already on a yellow, hauled down Felipe, not even touching the ball as he did so. The defender should have been sent off, but Paolo Mazzoleni only gave a free kick.

The refs terrible, most have been very inconsistant the last few years, but in which league do you not see error's.getborn wrote:Mazzoleni. Same guy, what a suprise.
Look at the local A League GF for a decision that ruined a season.

Baggio, I respect u and ur opinions on football related matter, however U cant compare aleague to serie a!
Firstly, Serie A refs are full time proffesionals, where as aleague refs are part-timers and usually have a fulltime job?
and surely U cant sit there and agree that Mazzoleni is not pro-Juve???

I'd hate to think anyone is favoured on a whole by an individual as it is no longer sport.DAM wrote:BAGGIO 15 wrote:The refs terrible, most have been very inconsistent the last few years, but in which league do you not see error's.getborn wrote:Mazzoleni. Same guy, what a suprise.

What I can say is you can reveiew every match from the weekend and see decisions that could be argued affected the outcome of the match.o
The Milan Derby had many examples, as did several decisions in the Napoli game.
We clearly had them that had of gone against us.
Siena still had the 2 best chances of the day and failed to convert them.
I guess what I'm trying to say is at time they go your way and at other times they go against you.
Last season for example had several decisions that went against us and that life. I could argue a few penalty decisions from Napoli home fixtures that the opposition felt were home town decisons.
Most looking from outside in with different interest's can claim to be wronged but it goes both ways purely due to our different perspectives and hopes for results.
I try to always view decisions impartially, not always easy but I feel I do a better job then most.
A few season's ago for example Krasic won one of the wort pens I'd seen with an Olympic standard dive. It was the first time I'd hoped the pen that was ultimately missed be exactly that.
Strange feeling, but karma bit Krasic on the rear and he was suspended for diving.
Perspective taints our views at times.
