Sorry, don't know the names but it wasn't the shoulder to shoulder one to the left of the box was it? If so I didn't even think it was a free kick.
So now finally we can all agree that the Sunday comp is superior to Saturday? Haha

no, we can agree that downs are better than bosa and even then would have been a different game had bosa's keeper not got injured early and the ref had made the correct decision on the stroke of half time.

Injuries and officials decisions are always part of the game....plus...the Downs specifically left out Kraig Andrews just to make the 2 sides more balanced !
BlackBrian_7 wrote:So it was only 1-0 to Downs even though BOSA played with ten men for more than half the match?
Final score was 3-0. From memory it was 1-0 up until the 80 minute mark
Down to 10 men for about the last 25 minutes. As mentioned previously thought BOSA matched Downs for the first 40 minutes and were probably the better side during that period. After that it looked like the nerves set in and Downs controlled the game.

I'm not sure the downs left midfielder (brennan?) wanted to play much football.. it looked like he wanted to play elbows with everyone!
:? Strange observation...Sean Brennan ran all day, most of the time Bosa were chasing his shadow...one of the best on ground from my view at ground level and through the camera.

quality player and was very good... but was lucky to make it to half time! dropped a BOSA player in the middle of the park, not sure how Craggs or one of the lineman didn't see it!
Missed that one but his tackle where he got booked was rather ordinary. Also swung a cheeky elbow in the second half. Like I said though I thought he was fantastic takes a lot of kicks but doesn't mind dishing it out too

Not really. If you took off the maroon glasses you'd see it plain as day.
So considering that in both finals a sunday team won, we must surely agree that Sunday>Saturday. I'd like to thank my sponsors tackle world and rays outdoors

no it shows that one team is better than another on the day
I don't think you'll find too many Saturday amateur players arguing that on the whole, which is the stronger league. I doubt the Sunday players and supporters will stop trying to argue with nobody though.
Given what the Bosa guy got his yellows for, Brennan should have been off to. He played well when on the ball.
Downs were the better team overall on the day. BOSA were unlucky with the keeper going down injuried but Downs certainly created more and looked more dangerous. BOSA weren't without their chances and Taz put himself about well but Downs always looked to have that quality about them that was going to see them score.
Well done to Downs on a excellent season and winning the double. Easily the best team in the league.

I'm sure the Bosa player got 2 warnings for clumsy tackles even before he got his first yellow....but we all seem to see different things throughout games we watch....several players with a different referee might have received their marching orders.....but both were dishing it out....from that aspect I thought Craggs handled it well.
Are you lot for real? Don't any of you recall the semi final incident that got BOSA into the final in the first place. Oh yeah Stamma being red carded after a feigned headbutt that wasn't within two feet of the guy writhing on the floor clutching his face - live by the sword die by the sword.
