Just heard that Metrostars Under 17s have departed the Club as a unit.
Apparently, a couple of neighbouring Clubs, taking advantage of the Metro Cup fiasco, to convince most of the lads to move.
If this is true, as code, we need to be ashamed of ourselves.
I'd be interested on the opinion of Sulmona and Major Tom, on this one.

Players move every year, some clubs encourage coaches to entice and poach players from other clubs. What's the difference with this U17 team, that you have to post on here?

Besides, would the club have taken the whole U17 squad and put them into the U18 league?

How were they convinced?

Was it at gunpoint or were they offered major cash incentives?

Are you saying Metro have had their U18 trials and no-one turned up?

A few more specifics (covered by a stat dec of course), then you might be taken a bit more seriously.

cmon guys i heard the same. apparently under section 23.3 of the operating guidelines if a team is guilty of breaching rule 12.1 then they must move the whole team a a :unit: as defined under 45.2 . but they only changed that this year so maybe not everyone knows about it.

Was down at Marden last night and saw the U18 and reserves trialling.

AFAIK there wasn’t one Metro player but a few from other surrounding clubs. Looked like the U18s with Pellegrini were made up mainly of U15s and u16s from ABE.
