Junior fees
Do fees play in the minds of parents prior to trials?
If fees were cheaper would this be an assentive to move if the club was in your locality?

Re: Junior fees
If fees were exactly the same at all the clubs for JPL, would players (& parents) need to move? Would they be more loyal to their club...play for the 'shirt'?AL K HOLIC wrote:Do fees play in the minds of parents prior to trials?
If fees were 50% (or more) cheaper would this be an assentive to move if the club was in your locality?

Re: Junior fees
Fees are an issue, but not a major one. Value is more important and in all honesty my lad plays for the shirt, where he feels comfortable and valued. So in our case, fees do not influence club choice.

No, Most parent would not care as long there is a spot for the child in the club and get a decent coach. But the old saying "pay peanuts get monkeys"

Think you mean they must be prepared to pay upon confirmation of selection? .... cant see anyone paying any amount before they trial

That would be a good idea though! If you didn't get selected could you get the money back.Sacred Noodle wrote:Faith No More wrote:Fees up at some clubs & more clubs now enforce no pay, no trial upfront .

Re: Junior fees
Look at the trials, no fee/deposit, no trials with a couple of clubs.Hibs seven wrote:That would be a good idea though! If you didn't get selected could you get the money back.Sacred Noodle wrote:Faith No More wrote:Fees up at some clubs & more clubs now enforce no pay, no trial upfront .

What sort of fees are we talking here, how much?

Re: Junior fees
Toros are now offering a non fees opportunity.
So there's a real choice.
$ 0 TO $ 1000.
Chose the fee structure and stop complaining.

It is not free fees, it is uniform only and whatever that costs, the only cost will be the purchase of your playing strips, shorts and socks and any tracksuits etc that one may want. Still has to be the cheapest around.
