Local Rugby Union
Anyone follow it? Go the Woodville Wasps - having their best start to a season in about 50 years!
Some of the best piss ups ever at the old Gleneagles clubrooms too.

Never got in to it down here...Watched one game when I first lobbed here and the quality was poor, same with the league. May have changed but haven't been back.
Re: Local Rugby Union
Used to watch Randwick when I lived in Coogee but haven't been to a game here in SA.

Re: Local Rugby Union
a mate plays for adelaide uni and the burnside and old collegians have been trying to get me back out playing for a few years now. If there was a sunday league I would go back to playing again.

Re: Local Rugby Union
Not even close to big enough to play in the 2nd row. I was actually young and fit when I was playing rugby. Started as a scrum half, ended as a full back via the wing. I think I'd probably play flanker if I played again now.Bomber wrote:threesome wrote:what position did u play ?God is an Englishman wrote:a mate plays for adelaide uni and the burnside and old collegians have been trying to get me back out playing for a few years now. Re: Local Rugby Union
Should have, could have won both finals, but like my beloved Croydon, lost out.threesome wrote:go tigers in the gf tomorrow ! i see the woodville boyz bombed out again bomber , lol
I heard in the final against your lot, the penalty count was something like 37 to 3 in Brighton's favour. True? If so, looks like little has changed on the local scene. 438 premierships not enough for you?

I'm sure the referees are celebrating hard too. Hopefully one day they'll manage to get some impartial ones on the ground.threesome wrote:happy days , brighton champs again !

Re: Local Rugby Union
i heard there was some typical rugby behaviour, with one of the teams doing a naked run across the pitch.

Dont know about that, although they are a different breed the Rugby boys!God is an Englishman wrote:i heard there was some typical rugby behaviour, with one of the teams doing a naked run across the pitch.
Hopefully the Wasps can go one better next year and win despite there being a conspiracy about not having them compete in a grand final, let alone win one.

a female who I thought was linked to old collegians mentioned it on her facebook as the highlight of her night.

Re: Local Rugby Union
Well done to mid table Woodville Wasps for forfeiting their games v Port Adelaide this weekend in protest to the bizarre decisions made by the SARUFL. They pick their entire front row and in all 7 players in a meaningless state game to play Tassie, yet are told you still must play your league game, whilst the much higher ranked Brighton only get 3 players picked and get a bye? And I thought the FFSA were clowns!
