Stingrays
Went to watch the stingrays today, and would be the worst team ever in the Amateur league.
I can't seeing them surviving next year.
Am I over exaggerating.

Re: Stingrays
Considering they have conceded on average more than 10 goals per game before today, potentially?

Re: Stingrays
Foxy, I think you're confusing them with the Mantarays in Div 5 - or Fantarays - cos their orange.
Mantarays are averaging about 7 goals conceded per game - and they've actually won a game. Good on them!

Re: Stingrays
The Adelaide Omonia boys were saying a few weeks back that they will be merging with them next year but still playing at that absolutely shite pitch at the primary school, probably the worst amateur league pith ever.

Re: Stingrays
Yes mate he does, well did when we played them. He would also abuse the hell out of his players every time they made the slightest mistake. I remember at one stage he was yelling and abusing the players for not running, but he just plonked himself in the middle of the park and didn't move!!! Not a happy group of players, probably explains why they have so many 14 or 15 year olds from their junior teams playing for them.PASC wrote:does spiro still play/coach/ take every free kick and penalty/ hog the ball/ stay in the middle circle all the time ????

Re: Stingrays
Capped for Australia??? Getting confused with the wrong sport! He got selected for an Australian Futsal team maybe 12-15 years ago. Very good indoor player suited him. Can't remember him archiving much as an outdoor player? Re: Stingrays
Having played against Stingrays this year ,... I have had no issue with Spiro and his boys ( and they are boys)
Even after a 22-0 defeat they still came into the clubrooms for a drink and chat ....

Re: Stingrays
Their a joke, by forfeiting to Angle Vale they probably cost AV any slim chance of winning the league after they played all the other teams. Last year they were terrible and still got promoted how does that happen?
Re: Stingrays
Spiro is a great bloke, who acts when others just talk, has tried hard but not everything worked out.

Certainly does, he is a good laugh to coach against. Never takes the game too seriously which is a good thing at junior level.Rodent wrote:Is a nice guy and probably the only junior coach to coach his team while sitting on the bench ..
