Prems

City 0 Fulham 2

A very scrappy and battling game, due to the pitch made it hard for two teams that like to play, having to change there style to fit the conditions.

City started brightly with jess Negal creating a couple of chances early and was making driving runs through midfield.

Fulham looked like they had a clear plan for the day, playing on the counter attack and using the pace of Macri and Izzy hodgson.

Fulham scored about the 25 min mark with a cross from Hodson with Mullen delightful flick pasted the keeper to make it one nil.

The game become a battle in midfield as the pitch made it very very difficult for both teams to play.

In the second half, Fulham made two changes due to injury, and squeezed the City midfield making it difficult for either team to get any flow to the game.

Fulham continued to hit City on the counter attack and created numerous chances, with good defending keeping them in the game.

On the 80th minute Meg Deakin put Macri through one on one and chipped the keeper to make it 2 nil to Fulham.

Unfortunately the condition of the pitches effected both teams, in the end Fulham had a game plan and stuck to it to the end.

Still a super season from City and they need to win their final two games to clinch the title they thoroughly deserve.

Best of luck to Edwardo (coach of the year) and the city faithful, with toros and Sturt Marion to play the league should be theres, but will go down to the last game of the season.

And great way for the first season of the new league to finish.

Metro 5 - Adelaide Hills 0.
Metro all class and well deserved winners of game and Reserves Comp.

On a sour note Adelaide Hills keeper in hospital with neck brace concussion and awaiting scans on spinal and neck damage.
Perhaps to the player that decided she must follow through on the keeper you can think about your actions.
We know it was accidental but when you are 5 nil up this really isnt needed.
Things happen and people get hurt it is a contact sport but good players know when to pull out.

The game was played in great spirits and there were no nasty tackles.
We still have 3 games left but the keeper wont be playing them :(
