Modbury Juniors
Is it true 2 modbury jets have not appointed 2 coaches of high merit and players via parents are leaving the club due to poor coaching selections for 2013
If so its a joke, and wish someone would come clean, as answers as usual are minimal with the control freak mentality of the junior club

HERE WE GO AGAIN my kids are there and if it is Dwayne and jonnie there out of line with the amount of work and development over the years
Dwayne coached at the gully one year and his season was worth 2 in education and skill to the kids, john has won some leagues I’m sure at Modbury and has seen some go to senior levels at various clubs I’m sure, strange if true.

Re: Modbury Juniors
My mail is different.
John and Duane were offered the chance to stay but walked.
My son is disappointed he wont be coached by them next year, maybe he will go to Salsibury with them both. A tough choice, do we follow the coach or stay with the better club?

What weighting would you put the better status down to from the following:
Is is their first teams status
Is it the current team and their position in the table
Is it the coaching and players development
Is it value for money

Anotherfalsepost...... That's another false post.... Lol
The club have the absolute right to do as they see fit....
People have the right to agree or disagree....
I'm moving on, not sure about anyone else. Loved coaching the boys I have for the past 2 seasons...
Cheers

Re: Modbury Juniors
Sounds like Salisbury are starting to attract some decent coaches for 2013, can only be a positive for the club.
And if i can add my 2 cents worth, always select a good jnr coach before a club.

Re: Modbury Juniors
Apart from the fact that the kids take a back seat to the seniors and are only there to pay for the seniors? apart from the fact they couldn't organise a p1ss up in a brewery? apart from the fact that they can''t use the pitches? apart from no support for the junior coaches? this is the start from what i heard....grumbly wrote:so what exactly is wrong with Salisbury juniors?

Well my sons been a junior there for 2 years, heading into his third with no problems and no desire to even trial elsewhere.
I call bullshit, post what you know, not what you have heard.

Re: Modbury Juniors
Well let's try this then:
Juniors had extra training with Rocky once a week available to them. Fees are reasonable and in line with most clubs.
Not sure about piss ups in brewery's, none were offered.
What pitches can't we use? We have the main pitch and train on the back pitches. I'm sure a few clubs with only 1 pitch try and minimise the main pitch usage for training.
What support are the coaches lacking? Most seem to be doing ok.

I am presuming you mean Salisbury United "FACT HUNT" because I can say Modbury Jets junior financials are in good order and always have been as far back as I can remember, and ground planning has been well organised other than some FFSA poor planning on occasions in 2012.
The youth at the Jets don’t go without, with balls, equipment, apparel and other sporting infrastructure in particular at Burragah the primary junior facilities.
The club has continued to also push the envelope with funding from – Government both State and Federal the FFSA and FFA, all the funding going to the youth of Modbury. Many thanks should be given to the club for this as it value adds without taking from the bottom line when successful on each application submitted by a small team spending hours on applications where most are unsuccessful. Furthermore fees also are in line with most clubs within the FFSA. I’d say it’s a pretty good brewery in that department and well organised.
As for a p1ss up in a brewery it’s a bit had with 0.5 but the jets are a can do club.
Junior Coaching, well that is a different matter and if a club, any club and coaches don’t, or can’t work on what's best for the youth both short term and long term regarding planning and development and succession plans, then that is a concern for a club. Coaches at the higher end in skill base, knowledge and have played at high level should be cherished for their free service and football acumen and clearly they are imperative in good production of QUALITY footballers for the club and culture. The best coaches should have the best youth, this is not E&D and if a club has that mentality they will never filter and develop the best. I hope sincerely Modbury’s club duty of care in football development is the best possible and at the highest order at all times.

Neil you are right especially the last paragraph and it will be interesting to see what pans out in 2013
You're leaving the club I hear ?
It would be a shame to see you go
Re: Modbury Juniors
TB - Not involved this season or last with family and work, other than being a member and an avid supporter.
I have a few intersting things on the radar 2013 that will keep me busy I am sure in football.
Seems like the club have a different direction over the past two years and wish them well, in particular all the players coached at Junior and Senior over 14 years at the club.
