So while his manager was giving a team talk he was saying 'steady'? Has the kid got a screw loose?

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
Nah I think he said it in a drill prior to that.Jimbob wrote:So while his manager was giving a team talk he was saying 'steady'? Has the kid got a screw loose?

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
Each to their own. Skrtel would have been close to motm for me if he didn't make that back pass error. He is very solid and great in the air and man city's strikers didn't get heaps of a sniff. His only downfall is that he drops off when Agger isn't on the field. Allen was motm for me too. He is a brilliant worker and will ease lots of the pressure on lucas'.Gabon wrote:Don't like to bag my own teams player/s BUT Skrtel MOTMtotsreds08 wrote:Hopefully lucas' injury isn't too serious! Allen was very good. Does a lot of dirty work and has good vision although he keeps it simple most times. Sterling has got a bright future. If he is managed properly, he will be a fantastic player. Coates looked decent. He sometimes loses his composure when under pressure but I'd rather a defender hoof it long rather than try always play it. Skrtel was unlucky. He had a great game and would have been close to motm for me if he didn't make that error. Suarez is great to watch but I agree with bowties. Suarez does get frustrating at times. Sometimes he just has to do one trick less and release/shoot and he will be fine.
All in all, it was a good performance. He didn't totally outplay city but I was pleased with the effort. Very keen to see sahin play next week.Said it before and will say it again that he will cost LFC more points than he earns (yes he may have scored a great header but he played a role in BOTH goals yesterday and in 2 of the 3 goals against West Brom last week), he also gives away needless free kicks in area's he doesn't need to due to being too tight or out of position (see Agger send off last week) and when he has a free header to clear he just goes for distance which usually goes directly back to the opposition, no poise to try to he could pick out a team mate.
Coates or Kelly (not a full back long term is a CB) for CB for me everytime over Skrtel.
Allen MOTM by a counrty mile and others will need to raise thier game and laern to play with him as he is the future of the Liverpool midfield.

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
A few rumours around saying we want Sturridge but chelsea want bigger fee for him than what we are willing to pay.
Liverpool are set to make an approach for Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge this week, but the two clubs are wide apart in their valuation for the England international.
The Reds are believed to be considering launching a £10 million bid for Sturridge. However, Chelsea FC values the former Manchester City man closer to £25 million.
ESPN revealed last week that Brendan Rodgers has added Sturridge to his summer wish-list. Despite disagreements on a potential fee, they believe that Liverpool could go back to Chelsea with a season-long loan offer, with a view to a permanent transfer.
The 22-year-old – who was part of the TeamGB squad at the Olympics – is unsettled at Stamford Bridge and with the arrivals of Eden Hazard, Marko Marin, Oscar and Victor Moses in attacking positions, Sturridge wants clarification over his future.
With the World Cup just two years away, the pacey striker is desperate for first team football and would prefer to play in a more central role. ”On a personal level, I just want to be playing regular first-team football,” he told Chelsea’s official website. ”Nobody wants to sit on the bench so it’s important for me this season to be playing regularly and show everybody what I’m capable of doing as a centre-forward.”
A bid from Liverpool could depend on the sale of the club’s fringe players and if Sturridge does arrive on Merseyside, it could signal the end of Andy Carroll’s time at Liverpool.
