Re: Liverpool 2012/13
Aguero is set to miss about a month of action. It isn't confirmed but that seems to be the Outcome.
Apparently we are also going to have talks with Adam Johnson which would be a great signing. Big fan of his.

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
Fact...another year without a League title, so 2013 lifting it is out.
23 years and counting.
maybe 2014???

Arsenal sign Sahin on a season long loan & option to buy.
Just gets better for Liverpool.

He is good but I won't lose sleep over it. Our CM options are strong whereas Arsenal's is lacking now that they have lost Song. I hope we land Adam Johnsongetborn wrote:Arsenal sign Sahin on a season long loan & option to buy.

Sure about that?
Apparently he was signed 2 weeks ago, then Liverpool came cos apparently him and Podolski don’t get along, but he wanted champions league, despite that Xabi and Mou told him to go there and he signed for Liverpool, then Song was sold and Wenger had a convo in German (his 5th language) that sealed the deal, then it was off again cos Arsenal couldn’t negotiate a buyout fee, Liverpool back in, then RM-Arsenal sorted their differences, then each day for the last 4 days he’s been due at the airport at 4pm and been photoshopped in an Arsenal shirt at least twice.
Reminds me of when all media outlets broke story about two years ago about Ryan Babel on his way to London in a private helicopter to sign for Spurs. Babel then tweeted a picture of himself at home on the couch…
Sahin doesn’t go anywhere until Modric officially signs for Madrid. And Levy is a wily club boss, he knows that he’ll lose his best player and strengthen his North London rival when the Modric deal goes through.
He’s been 100% signed by Arsenal, then 100% signed by Liverpool now 100% signed by Arsenal again.
IMHO he’ll go elsewhere or stay at Madrid.

Yeah but who won the prestigious Carling cup against European powerhouses Cardiff?dudley wrote:Hands up if your club hasnt won the league in over 20 years????
I think you'll find NickyTanner has done his best to remind you that the Carling cup is indeed a trophy, and although Liverpool finished 10th, below 9 'smaller' clubs no doubt, they have been alot more successful in the last 12 months than Manchester United, who ONLY managed second place in the premier league losing to the smallest club in Manchester by 3 points, on the final day.
Sadly it seems Nicky is right, Liverpool had a fantastic year compared to Manchester, with alot more to show for it, just look at the players they have purchased , and stop and think about the future of Liverpool compared to the other 'smaller' clubs.
Carroll is young, he has alot of potential, Charlie Adam is the Scottish Xavi, Downing has been EXTREMELY UNLUCKY, and it's only a matter of time before Real Madrid come calling for Martin Kelly.
Ok i can't keep up the sarcasm anymore, Liverpool are shite, they have been shite since Rafa left, and since they let Kenny spend all their money on duds, they're even further behind.
They have a good coach now, but still have players that would barely be squad players in successful epl teams.
For god sake can Liverpool fans acknowledge that the Carling cup, while i'm sure it put a smile on their face was nothing to be excited about, if anything, not losing to Cardiff probably kept Kenny in a job for longer.
Liverpool have a long way to go, they just better hope they win the league before Mourinho comes back to an EPL club, we can all forget about winning anything after that.

Simple question. Do Downing, Carroll ET AL have more to show for their season than RVP, Theo etc?

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
We had a poor season in the league, admittedly, but don't sell us short of two places. We finished 8th, not 10th!
And I'm sick of this players are sh*t garbage. The squad has 15 international players, the back 5 are as good as any in the league. Since Roy left we've battered teams week in week out for no result. Stats for possession, shots on goal, chances created.......conversion rate don't lie.
We have an ineffectual front third. That's the problem now and that was the problem last season. When that is sorted we'll be challenging the 4.

Carroll and Downing managed to get their coach sacked, and carry their team to 10th.
RVP won the golden boot, and has now signed for the most successful team in the English Premier League.
Walcott was able to help his team achieve european qualification, which is why they now have Santi Cazorla, Olivier Giroud, and Liverpool just bought some 3 million dollar arab fella who reminds me of El Zhar

You didn't need to carry on after the yes, but as you did.
Did Suarez (one of the best players in the league) sign a new longer contract?

The stats are fact not opinion. Liverpool created more chances than Man U last year but scored 48 goals less. The conversion rate for Liverpool was the lowest accross all teams in the top 5 leagues last season.
You don't have to be an idiot (or maybe you do Stewie) to see where the problem lies.
Liverpool is very simple to analyse: good build up play, solid at the back, chances crated, chances not finished, pressure builds on the team for being wasteful and a goal is copped.
Looking forward to some lame trolling in return.......

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
Kop + Nicky T are right. For those who watched liverpool every game, you'd know that they played a great brand of football and just fell to shit infront of goal. If we decided to hit the net instead of the bar even half the amount of the time, we would have picked up a good 10-15 extra points. I am not saying we are unlucky because there is only so much luck you can have but to say Liverpool are shit is stupid. We beat every team who finished above us at least once apart from Spurs.
We have had this problem for years. When we lost the season a few years ago by a few points, we drew a fair few times at home. We were the best team in the league but a lack of finishing is what cost us the title and unforuntately it cost us much higher finish on the table. We just need some composure in front of goal. I think that if Suarez can bag a few over a couple of games, he will dominate.

Jade North and Topor-Stanley are both International players, doesn't make them any less garbage.
I agree with your last point. Suarez is talented, but very very wasteful and I'm not sure how much Gerrard has left. Liverpool were right in chasing players like Dempsey, Sigurdsson and Sinclair but you've failed to sign any of them.
I noticed you mentioned Roy (again) but whose to blame now for Liverpool's apparent lack of spending money? We all heard "new owners, unlimited money for new signings". What players were signed with all that money? I know Roy signed some average players but at least he paid peanuts.
Feel Good Inc.

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
You cant polish a turd.
If you are consistently making 10 chances & finishing 0, it has nothing to do with luck, you are shit. Simple.

I don't care what others think. and Kop, apparently I am letting you down, sorry, and when have I mentioned the way we played?
The facts are our goal-scoring let us down. That's all there is to it.

Re: Liverpool 2012/13
You know that you're just backing up Kop's point, right?
Our poor conversion rate doesn't mean our squad is shit. It means our forwards aren't doing their jobs. Our midfield created chances and our defence was solid, even with Reina underperforming last season we were amongst the best defences in the league.

Anyone who says, oh Liverpool played sh*t, are sh*t, have rubbish players is frankly a gobshite.
We were relying on our only decent forward Suarez to be our McManaman, Barnes and Fowler last year.
Either take pressure off him with some support and make his remit just goals. Or put a forward who can finish ahead of him and make his remit just create goals.
