Downs div one champions
Something this big deserves its own topic, cracking result today looking at a point with a few to go then the big hose grabbed the winner. Vale could of been a couple of goals up and then the best goalie in the league pulled off the save of the year. Then look out the result came in from ingle farm and it was on, to win the league while the vale was in attendance was highlight number one, to see Benny rally the troops and watch the whole club sing the song, highlight number two. Three games to go champions and well done to motts,Andy and the coaching staff, well done to all the players and enjoy the moment. Special mention to Benny and to all the biffs saying you have won jack choke on your words who,s laughing now Elizabeth Downs League Champions

Congrats to the downs. Deserved the title this year. Biggest club in the league I reckon and didn't get the goods in recent years, gardens far too good then, but this year best team too many good players all over the park, keep then fit and in the country and you get the reward
Enjoy

Great effort from the Downs to win this year in what is a very very tough league. Well done everyone down there as it is more than just about the 11 on the park.

Brilliant stuff and congratulations to the Downs on a great year that hasn't finished yet - well done to Motts, AD and Smitty, all of the squad - it is a very talented and deep squad superbly captained by Hugheser. Benny with the second finest save of the year yesterday - truly outstanding mate. For all the knockers about the money spent it has at least been spent well and it is a measure of the club that those who come, stay.

Seriously on behalf of the Gardens well done to Knobby, Motts, the players & all the Downs faithfull on winning the League Championship in their 50th year which no doubt makes the success even sweeter. Most definately the most talented squad weve seen this season hope they stick around to back it up & all the best for the remainder of the season enjoy your celebrations.
See you in Rnd 18 (make sure your windows are clean) & hope to see you in the Cup Final.

No its up to the Farm, Gardens or BOSA to stop you winning the double as we can't let you have a clean sweep

Aint that the truth, some of these federation clubs are run like amateurs and they wish they can match some of the crowds the top flight amatuer clubs have.Wander down hindmarsh on semi and cup final day and you will get an indication on how big it is. Oh and our league has money unlike the dodgy federation who would love to get thier hands on the cash.
Also did I mention The mighty Downs are Division 1 League Champions
