Is that why he went back to div 3 this year?
He is helping the club were he stated his football get to Div 1, not that his had to do much this year  but next year he will be a massive asset to the team!
come on gabba... you of all people know there is a lot of work to be done to get to div 1 and it is going to take plenty of time! If he had good concrete offers I'm sure he would have taken them up! After all, that's why he left in the first place, to try and get a spot with a big club!
I know to get to Div 1 is a lot of time and work and I think Munno Para will soon one day be a good Div 1 club with the likes of Steven hanging round to help the club, he had two concrete offers from Div 1 clubs but MP also came to the table with his needs and a little help from his brother!

Danny Christison from MA Hawks would have to get a spot, best keeper in the amateur league.

I thought that, but then realised it was no different to how state sides get picked each year.

Whilst it is true that there is depth (and breadth) in the keeping ranks at the Downs Benny has been outstanding and consistent for the last few years. Great bloke as well - he does obviously have other great bloke goalkeepers that he has learnt his trade from. Interesting that he has also become a better drinker.

For me, D. Westall is one of the best defensive players in the league. Very consistent, hard at the ball... wins 99.9% of headers and chips in with a goal here and there too. Would be a disgrace if he wasn't picked in this squad imo.....
