given that the ffsa just selected a state select side for a game with united

just wondering who would make an amateur select side?

3/4 of the downs squad plus a few from farm and gardens.
When was the last year that a state amateur under 23 side was picked? Would be interesting to see who would be in an under 23 squad now given the amount of young players in the amateurs these days

would take trimboli, agars, hughes, gundlach, both lindsays, and marwe from downs

agius and ebomo from gardens

from a vista perspective williams, brezinski and casiero have had good years

kirreh from east would be around the mark

matteo from pontian

osman form fulham

evan and cocksy from farm

not sure on a keeper though

Docherty is a very good player. I'm thinking more from an under 23 perspective though like they used to do

Think Munno Para's keeper S.Doolan would push any Div 1 keeper for a state spot!

If it is an amateur side being picked most of those players wouldn't be eligible would they?

Well he got good offers from Div 1 clubs this year but I think him and the rest of Munno Para's squad will stick together next year and push for a top half finish!!

come on gabba... you of all people know there is a lot of work to be done to get to div 1 and it is going to take plenty of time! If he had good concrete offers I'm sure he would have taken them up! After all, that's why he left in the first place, to try and get a spot with a big club!
