Must say i dont know how Pepe is preferred to Krasic in the first place.

Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
Simple, Krasic does not fit in Conte's style. That is a big reason as to why it's doubtful he'll stay. But it will be dependent on whether somebody comes forward with interest to buy and not just loan.Ga Pala wrote:Must say i dont know how Pepe is preferred to Krasic in the first place.
Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
no chance of lewandowski this season, dortmund looking to push into the next bracket of teams and become a european force, and seeing sahin leave and do nothing at madrid has promted a few others to stay on longer

7m euros to Juve and 2,3m euros (min)/a season to Krasic. Not a bad transfer at all I guess, I just hope it's the same Krasic who was playing for CSKA back a couple of years ago.

Sad to see him go after a difficult season, but it's best for both parties. He leaves with some good memories, especially from his first few months. Hope he does well.

I know he hasn't played for basically a year, but 7m is still pretty cheap.Fenerbahçe wrote:7m euros to Juve and 2,3m euros (min)/a season to Krasic. Not a bad transfer at all I guess, I just hope it's the same Krasic who was playing for CSKA back a couple of years ago.
Still a lot of work for Marrotta to do within this last month. Melo, Ziegler, Pazienza, Iaquinta and Martinez should all be sold. The big name striker signing talk has dried up for a while as well.

Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
massive job ahead for marotta. has done well so far but need to bring in some decent coin for these players that we want to get off the books. Pazienza and ziegler will go comfortably i think, but melo and martinez will be tough to sell unless given away for alot less than wanted.
Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
Melo and Galatasaray back in talks apparently. Iaquinta will be hard to shift because if I recall this is the last year of his contract. He's still on big wages for his level (will only be going to a lower-level top flight club) and so I think they'll loan him and see him leave on a free. Hopefully someone in South America can be found for Martinez - that's the latest on that, there were also rumours of clubs in Spain interested. Pazienza and Ziegler I think will go, there are some interested parties.

Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
The most important thing at the moment anyway is Conte. His presence on the bench is worth much more than any players signing or leaving.
FIGC is a joke of an organisation. Supposedly Conte and 23 other Siena players knew of an attempt to fix a match and wanted nothing to do with it, but did not report it to authorities. So why is Conte facing this ban and nothing has happened with the other 23 Siena players?

Juve signed highly rated Greek 16yo Tasos Donis from PAO. He's the son of former Greek international and current PAOK coach Georgios Donis. Youth/reserves probably at Juve but he was on the verge of senior football at PAO this year.

Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
A good pre-season comes to an end for Juve with a 2-0 win against Malaga. Haven't lost a game in pre-season if my memory serves me correctly, besides one of the Trofeo Tim games.
Matri in good form over pre-season, Marrone being consistently tried as a centre back, and the new signings being slowly integrated into the lineup.
Looking forward to the Supercoppa. Anyone know if coverage will be shown anywhere?

Pre-season not over yet. There's still the traditional Juve v Juve Primavera at Villar Perosa, plus the Berlusconi Cup v Milan. Then the season commences.

Juve's squad for the Napoli game in Beijing has also been named.
Same squad as the Malaga game except Barzagli and Vucinic have been added as well. Pazienza left behind, which I take to mean that a transfer is all but imminent.
Ziegler still apart of the squad though. I think the deeper he continues to be a part of the pre-season squad then the less likely we are to see Armero arrive.

Doesn't look like the game will be on Rai, just checked their guide.
Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
Big day today that will shape our transfer window and season. Bonucci and Pepe expected to avoid sanction as Masiello's story has been changing, however Conte is looking at ten months thanks to the ever 'reliable' testimony of Carobbio. Even if he gets ten months, I expect an appeal and reduction by the start of the season.
On Conte's law team now is Giulia Bongiorno. In 2010 the Guardian called her "the only woman in Italy feared by Silvio Berlusconi". She is most famous for that Amanda Knox/Perugia death, while also representing Francesco Totti after he spat at Poulsen in Euro 2004.

Latest rumour is linking Fernando Llorente with Juventus. One person is claiming the deal is essentially done. Llorente has refused a contract extension and his relationship with Athletic Bilbao has soured to the point they may want to sell now, from what I've been reading. Whether that means he wants a Juve move we will just have to wait and see. 20mil + bonuses and 3.5m per season could be enough to secure the deal.

Official 10 month ban for Conte. Bonucci and Pepe cleared of all charges.
Basically this whole season gone for Conte, he will resume normal duties in June next year.
Any chance of a reduction on appeal?
F*CK THE FIGC!

Essentially in a court where Conte was assumed guilty until proven innocent, and in a case of 'he said/she said', Conte was unable to prove his innocence. It was word versus word and the court chose a liar in Carobbio.
I think the appeal will get as much as half off the sentence.

I know I know, this is all Juve's doing. All masterminded by Juve. Because Conte's actions (or lack thereof it seems in this situation) at Siena are an indication of the club he currently coaches. Now I follow ya.barcabarcabarca wrote:filthy cheats caught again

Dude you are delusional. This is not a ban against Juventus, it is a ban against Conte. It looks to me like you think Conte would have gotten off, been given a lesser sentence etc if he were not the coach of Juventus.Juventino wrote:I know I know, this is all Juve's doing. Melo officiallly to Gala on another year long loan.
Would have been nice to get a permanent sale but at least he's off the wage bill.

Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
The accuser, Filippo Carobbio, claimed Conte knew of the fix (that is his charge, knowing and not reporting) and in a team meeting said the 'result was already decided'. If that is the case, why aren't 23 Siena players also up for the same charge as Conte?Mato wrote:Dude you are delusional. This is not a ban against Juventus, it is a ban against Conte. The problem here is the court system is rubbish. With onus on the accused (Conte) to prove his innocence, it is virtually impossible in a word vs word case, which is all this was, to say 100% that he did not know. In the sporting court he is guilty until proven innocent.
Yet Carobbio's story changed at least twice. He didn't even mention Conte's name the first two times he was interviewed by authorities. When the carrot was dangled in front of him of a reduction on his sentence in exchange for names, he conveniently remembered his coach. And the court has gone with the testimony of a liar. For Conte to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that he knew nothing, when the whole case was based on 'he heard this' and private conversations, was quite difficult.
Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
Let me clarify again - do you think Conte would have been given a 10month ban if he was the coach of Napoli? Inter? Milan? Pescara? It seems to me you don't.
Maybe Moratti hoped in the Delorean and caused the entire scandal after Conte was appointed coach of Juve? Seems Conte made a mistake in the past and is paying for it now. Juventus have (unfortunately for them) been adversely affected by it.
By the way I also read Pepe and Bonucci got off - let me guess, in this case the court got it right?

Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
You juve fans crack me up, he was approached to fix a game and then said the result is taken care of and then didn't report it? And it's a conspiracy? Hahaha
Re: Juventus Transfers/Off-Season 2012-13
Carobbio was given the chance to earn a reduction by implicating other (big names) and did just that. Convenient that he never mentioned Conte in his first two questioning sessions. Would it be different were Conte at another club, hard to say really.Mato wrote:Let me clarify again - do you think Conte would have been given a 10month ban if he was the coach of Napoli? Inter? Pepe and Bonucci got off because Masiello's story kept changing. For example Masiello said he spoke to Bonucci of the fix in question - Masiello was involved in a fair few - on the team bus, when in fact Bonucci was with the national team at the time. The entire case around Pepe was based on a phone call, the contents of which are unknown. Masiello was considered unreliable, yet Carobbio's changing story was considered reliable. Why? I'd like to know.
Doc - did he say that? 23 players said that didn't occur, one did. The court's stupid set-up meant they went with the one. Too hard for the accused to prove beyond any doubt he didn't know. In any normal court there would be no case to answer.
Edit - But I don't think I've been here to cry conspiracy. It is a rubbish system to have to go through and there are questions relating Carobbio's testimony I'd like answered. But again people in general have been reporting on something they know nothing of. Been around on other forums, twitter, etc. Quick to label Conte as something when not even knowing what he has been charged with.
