Brazil 2014

Post by the 12th man »

For anyone who has been to previous world cups be able to give an idea of how much it costs to go to a world cup inc flights, accommodation, games and so on? I have not been to one but think Brazil would be a good experience for my first world cup.

go with a group such as green and gold army or the fanatics or fox sports, they do all the work for you, once we are there they will advertise

Can recommend FAnatics, used them before, they have different levels of accommodation. They were excellent

I have heard from someone who went to South Africa and stayed in tent city that it cost them about $8000. Is this about right?

Last 4 world cups have been in small countries, so you could train/bus it around.
Brazil is pretty big, Brazilian guy at work reckons you'd have to fly it everywhere.

Best bet, start in North-East near Recife which 3 other host cities near it.
Then for finals move down to Rio cos Sao Paulo is only 300 or so kms away.

But wouldnt surprise me if they stick all the obscure (let's be honest, we're obscure in the eyes of Brazil) nations like Australia in the host city which is in the Amazon.
