Would just like to say that at the end of Round 13 last season ABE U17 had scored 44 goals and conceded nine, while Para Hills had scored 43 and conceded 8, giving both teams a GD of +35.

So if Metros GA this year is pretty incredible, then it's fair to say their GF is pretty underwhelming for an U17 team :P

There are lies, damned lies and then there are statistics

U17C

White City 3 - 4 Salisbury United

Was a good game to watch, got nervous when WC came back from 2 down to level at 3-3.

i just like to say that Metros defensive performance in the 17 A's has been pretty impressive. the newly transferred players to the club have been outstanding and given the team a real boost! not sure who the two defensive players in centre back and right back are for them?? can anybody help??

16 metros scored a cracker on the weekend too, from i think stefan, i just watched in awe at the ball which flew into the back of the net!! just like kanu or angel for instance! :clown:

17a comp is a farce thx Drago
Haha

So the Adelaide City's, Para Hills, Campbelltown's of this world, have over the years only entered teams into this competition (ensured they were in the A's in the age groups from u13 up) to make up the numbers???

Dont think so, they all go out there to win the competition, why should Drago be any different.

Depends on HOW you go about winning the Comp. I guess.
Some people tell me that we professional players are soccer slaves. Well, if this is slavery, give me a life sentence.

I've watched plenty of U'17 games this year and have found the standard of play to be quite high. There is not much between the teams and that is reflected in the tables! Metrostars seem to be a well drilled team and that shows in their defensive record but they are one of 4 or 5 teams trying to play good football and not just trying to win the title!
It's pointless arguing about teams playing boys who normally play for the U'19 in a lower age group. Don't take it to seriously and you won't get upset with teams doing what they think is right. Sometimes it's not fair but that's the nature of this game and it's better to just relax and enjoy watching your son play rather than rant and rave about things that are not going to change.

Remember the old saying 'If you don't have something good to say, don't say anything' !
