vale 2
gardens 1
finished 2-1
Both teams hit the cross bar after gardens went down to ten men. Credit to Gardens, after going to ten men they still gave the Vale a good run. 2-1 a fair result on the balance of play. both teams had chances to score in the second half with neither side able to put one away.
reserves 2-2
Gardens 2-0 up after 10mins with 2 very good efforts from distance. Our lads dug in deep again and Young Brett Jackson had a belter of a game. Scored the 1st goal to get us back to 2-1 just before half time and then a perfectly timed run and calm squared ball to set up the equaliser. The young lad had a chance to win the game too.... through one-on-one with the keeper on a slight angle and put the ball into the side netting. Good effort to recover from 2-0 down and get a point but seems to be the story of our season so far... lose the first half and win the second but just not doing enough over 90mins.
C's 0-4
didnt see the game so cant comment.

Macedonia V Florina

Bs: 0-12
Good derby day at Macos. One red card each, some emotions and hard tackles. Always great to take 3 points home on derby day!

C team
Fulham 6 - Brahma 2
Didn't c the game but heard we were down so gd result to get up and win.
B team
Inter 1 - Fulham 1
Inter on top early and scored a scrappy goal but from about 15 to go in the 1st half and all the 2nd Fulham were on top.
Got the goal in the 2nd half but lacked a cutting edge up front to take advantage of the possession Fulham enjoyed.
Take the point though as the preparation for the game was not the best.
A team
Inter 0 - Fulham 2
Fulham took there chances well.
Inter had there's as well but when Colin went off injured lacked a finisher.
Inter can't complain over the result though IMO.

Re: Sunday Results - 22nd July 2012
Well a very disappointing result for us today and one of the worst performances, no actually the worst performance, of the year for us.Rexie wrote:Easties vs Downs
A grade- 0-5
Ressies- 4-4
C grade- 1-1
We just didnt really turn up today and the downs boys just showed their class and took all their chances well. We did battle and had a handful of chances, but certainly didnt deserve anything out of the game. We are much better than we showed today and what we dished up really wasnt good enough for this standard.
All we can do is forget about the game and move on to the next one and regain our previous form to pick up more points.
As for us drinking after the game. Sorry, but we just dont have the support you guys do. We had a fair few stick around, but we only have about 40 supporters

Re: Sunday Results - 22nd July 2012
Pretty sure it was 1-6 in reserves, regardless well done. Once again we went down to 10 men in the reserves (after 20 minutes) and battled well to be 1-1 at halftime, although a very fit Westies over ran us in the second halfshot cross wrote:Southern Knights vs PHW

Re: Sunday Results - 22nd July 2012
Turned up at Eaties to see the second half of the reserves - great game for the neutral and some outstanding football with Downs probably wishing the game went for another 5 mins as they were definitely finishing the stronger. Two quality reserves sides deserve credit for dishing up some outstanding entertainment.
First team was not quite so even. Classy Downs finishing and movement put Easties under pressure from the start and it appeared that a few Easties players saved their worst performance for this game. The Lindsay boys and Sean Brennan ran amok and the Easties midfield engine room resorted to kicking them, when they could get near them. Felt for the Easties keeper who never really stood much of a chance. Downs played with all their depth and the faithful waited for Nuggett's beer after the gamne but it appears never to have rocked up......
Thanks for the Easties hospitality and good luck for the rest of the season.
