SPL & scottish football now more irrelevant than ever before.
good decision for the game, how long will it be before the broadcasters ask for their money back ?
a-League will be more interesting to watch, unless of course you are a Celtic Bhuoy.

It was the right decision in the interest of fairness. Problem is the Scottish FA and clubs are to blame for allowing two clubs to become so dominant that if one ever did fall over, they would have a joke of a competition.

No were else in the world has there been this kind of lobsidedness for over 20 years.

Only five clubs have won the Portugese league, and two of those have only won it once. The rest have all bee won by the same three clubs.

Don't need to ask for their money back, they're due to sign a new agreement this year. May now be re-negotiated.

When you have countries with only a small population there are normally only 2 big teams which most of the population support, thus they will dominate the league , every now and then a different team will jag a title, as for the lobsidedness, different winners for the past 50 years in other countries, 5 in Turkey, 4 in Portugal, 8 in Spain, 7 in SCOTLAND, 11 in Germany , 11 in Italy, 12 in England (14 titles to Man utd in the past 20 yrs, is that lobsidedness) the biggest supported clubs will normally dominate the leagues

What are those figures over a 20 year period?

Morally this is the right decision, but economically it's a VERY stupid decision.

As damaging as it will be in the short term, there was no other choice, you can't not punish a team because their the second biggest in the country

Talk of an SPL 2 involving Rangers and Div 1 clubs. Kind of like a Serie B. It's not over yet.

the clubs dont want rangers in spl 2, they want them to pay, but a re-shuffle has been mooted for years, the spl and sfa are looking at it now as they are all huns

I would have thought another team winning the SPL would be good for Scottish football. Your lot ensured the league was a one horse race for most of the 90's and a 2 horse race in the 2000's by financial doping. A strong Aberdeen and Dundee United is what the league is crying out for in addition to a level playing field for the first time in 2 decades. Should be a good season. Last season 3 teams won trophies, you can't ask for more than that.

It still makes me laugh that the fenians call finding a decent bit of tax avoidance to be "financial doping".

When will you terrorist scum realise that the newco isn't rangers. It's akin to punishing afc wimbledon for something MK dons have done wrong.
