I would say pretty unfair for Flinders in regards to goal difference. We have Gardens next week and will be livid if they forfeit as our goal difference will be affected.

Cows A's never really got near top gear, and Pitbulls wanted it more. Having said that I didn't think they looked like winning until they scored the free kick. It was a well contested game though.
Sadly, our captain has ruptured his achilles and will be out for the season.

I just hope this isn't a sign they are going to pull out, it is a problem with team like this, when 90% of teams play them and win by 5 or more goals, if you get a forfit agaisnt them you only get 2!!

A 0-2 scoreline is no incentive for teams to not forfeit. The international standard is 3-0 so I have no idea why the league reduced this number. Perhaps it should be an average of goals conceded for all matches played prior to the forfeited one. In that case Flinders would receive a 6-0 win.gooner4life wrote:Our thoughts exactly!! not happy at all but not much we can do!Fudpucker wrote: That's 3 weeks now Gardens have either postponed or forfeited. 16-2 on the score sheet might have to check with the league on this one, goal different is really important at this stage.
But knowing that they are so slow on updating the site we might have to drop Kham and angkor kid to the Bs and get some goals back

Re: Saturday Division 4 League Table & Results *Updated Week
Not happy to have the Torrens Valley A Grade match postponed by the referee today. Parafield Gardens caught a bus to get up here and the pitch was still playable. It certainly wasn't dangerous!
Ref rocked up at 1:30pm and called it off an hour and half before kick off. Ref's excuse was that IF it rains again the pitch would not recover. Next hour and half was sunshine. Would have been fine to play on. Could tell ref just didn't want to be there so he took easy way out.
The fact that Parafield Gardens already has two, now three matches to catch up, I struggle to see how they can be made up throughout the season as there are no more cup rounds or public holidays for rest of season. Unless our season goes into January

Compass v East Adelaide
B's Easts forfeited so 2-0 for compass
A's Compass 6 - 2.
East only had 10 players, we scored from their kick off and then again from the next one 2 up in 90 seconds. It was clear we were too good for their 10 men, but they got a goal from a very soft penalty (it was 3 yards outside the box) 2-1. We scored 2 more before HT 4-1, but were not really pressing. Just after HT the scored from a set piece to make it 4-2. Easts lost 2 more to injury and finished the last 25 with 8 players. 1 up and the rest camped out in the 18yard box.
We should have scored a hatful, but added 2 more late on for 6-2.
Thanks to the Easts lads who came down. Keep at it and don't let the injuries get you down. A couple of experienced heads could make all the difference. Remember, Rome was not built in a day!

Not sure we didnt do a card check, but we were told by another club we should do one, but at the end of the day we only got ourselfs to blame, we actually played quite well, but just didnt take alot of our chances, was a bit short on defenders yesterday and they took their chances when presented to them. Was just one of those days you get in football.shaneporker wrote:Wonder who played for Greenock????Stand Free wrote:A's Greenock 3-2 OTH

I hadn't heard that in relation to card checks. To be fair to Greenock i thought they were one of the better sides we've played this season. They are quick and move the ball around. I'm not surprised they are up there.Stand Free wrote:Not sure we didnt do a card check, but we were told by another club we should do one, but at the end of the day we only got ourselfs to blame, we actually played quite well, but just didnt take alot of our chances, was a bit short on defenders yesterday and they took their chances when presented to them. Having said that, as was said much earlier in the year, the league is pretty tight and on their day any team is capable of beating any other.

yeah its very tight, we really should of won yesterday though, as i said, bit short on defenders and that cost us a bit with the goals we conceeded, but greenock never gave up, we went in 1-0 at half time and was well ontop, changed it a bit at half time and lost our way a bit, they equalised not long after the break, we went 2-1, then they fought back to 3-2 up, we changed it back to the way we had it before half time, but just couldnt get that equaliser, but as i said thats football, sometime play cabernet and win, and sometimes play well and lose!!!!, thats football.
