Mancini signs with...

Post by bapa »

Roberto Mancini will not become the new boss of Russia after signing a contract extension at Manchester City.

“I am delighted to be able to give all of my efforts to Manchester City for a further five years,” he told the club’s official website after committing himself to the outfit until 2017.

“The opportunity which exists to build on our recent success is enormous.

“Manchester City is a fantastic football club, from the owner, chairman, board and the executive team, through to the players, staff and fans.

“I am very much looking forward to the challenges and excitement ahead.”

Mancini was being suggested as a possible successor to Dick Advocaat after he left his position as Coach of Russia following Euro 2012.

The former Lazio, Fiorentina and Inter boss was appointed at City in December 2009. He led the side to the Premiership title last season

Surprised really, all the talk on twitter last night, was that Roberto had signed a 6year deal to coach Russia!

Because Twitter is such a rich source of information.

Only a Twit would believe that.
Time for some righteous indignation
