STHN BREAKERS ADEL UNI 2: 2 - 1 Southern Breakers to be strong at home despite Uni being fresh after the week off
ACU FALCONS BUDAPEST : 0-3 Budapest should be to good for Falcons
MURRAY BRIDGE FLINDERS 1 : 1- 1 Murray Bridge will put up a good contest at home
HAZARA STRATHALBYN : 1-0 Should be a close encounter
ADEL PUMAS ST PETERS 2 :2-1 St Peters look to be coming good but at home I think Pumas will take the 3 points

Looks to be a cracker of a round!

We had 4 out too and the way your sideline was racially abusing our linesman was appalling!

Not to mention the complete lack of respect to B's ref, consider yourself lucky nobody was sent off!

Also not to mention your great grandpa linesman who never followed the last man and still flagged every time....

Southern Breakers vs Adelaide Uni

A's 4 - 1
B's 3 - 2

Great game in B's as Adelaide Uni won 9 - 0 against us last time.
Thanks to Adelaide for playing both games with a total squad of 15. Should squash any comments about unwillingness to play in uni hols.
You guys must be fit. It was a heavy pitch out there today

Results!!!

A's
Murray Bridge 1 - 1 Flinders Uni
Well played by Murray Bridge. Flinders scored a cracker then Bridge followed suit. Bridge should have had 3 tho. Good game by both sides.

B's
Murray Bridge 0 - 6 or 7 Flinders Uni

Yeah that was his name, we were all in position for the start of the second half in the A's and when the ref called for the linesman's ready, he was still at the bar (which if anyone whos played us at Grange knows its a good 200m away)...

Wondering how the player from the Falcon's is? Unfortunate clash / fall right at the death in the A's game.
Was taken by ambulance....hopefully he is OK.

Good effort by both Buda teams with numerous outs. The margin in both games should have been greater.
All you can do is win and take the points!!

Give Pauly credit....correct me if I am wrong but he is in his seventies. No doubt we will see all his knockers around their respective clubs at that age...playing and participating.

No excuse for any abuse but the Falcon's linesman (x2) were pretty average....particularly when the first one had to be repalced as he had never done it before???? One would have to question whether they even knew the rules....

He's ok, just a little sore for now and the paramedics said taking him to hospital was just a precaution

In my opinion our B's should have done better and the same for your A's (B's got out of jail with that penalty miss of ours)

Give Pauly credit....correct me if I am wrong but he is in his seventies. No doubt we will see all his knockers around their respective clubs at that age...playing and participating.

I get that, but there is gotta be some minimum level of competence esp for a seniors fixture.

I dont know why the first one was there to begin with, but the guy who replaced him (our B's keeper) usually runs the line for us and he was the one who was told by one of your fans and I quote "go back to Africa!"

Ok... was nearby and heard the linesman getting a bit of stick and have to say he handled himself pretty well ..... was only the response to a couple of dodgy calls and is no different to any club and game works both ways.

Re the racial “accusation” I was there and although surprisingly silent myself.. I can say there were no derogatory racial comments – I heard your linesman asked as to what your club background was and his reply was Africa. We have two great guys of African heritage, one of which was on the ground the other standing with the supporter group so there is no way any of our supporter group did or would have made ”racist remarks”. I could easily call you a MUPPETT for making accusation as you have, especially on a public forum, but there is no racial connotation or inference intended in referring to you as a MUPPETT. Likewise I heard nothing of the like at the game.

Re the lack of respect to the B’s ref .. are you for real..???? Actually thought he did a relatively good job there are always complaints about decisions every game everywhere there may have been some remonstration due to a couple of calls later in the game ..I kind of remember something but if so nothing remotely significant.

Should I have jumped on the forum and gone on about your players continually targeting on of our key A’s players kicking at the back of his legs etc , to the extent that what it was suggested to one of your players by his own teammates that he back it off he responded “ I know what I’m doing”..!?? If thats what a player has to do when they know they are no where near as good then that is more a concern than anything else. Our player was still class and we won the game so that says it all..

Anyway nuff of all that and hope your A’s player who was injured at the end of the game and taken by ambulance is fine, recovered ok and back playing ASAP. No matter who or what team it is never good to see someone injured like that especially as for a time there, people from both teams were very worried and concerned for him.

ACU you said:

"In my opinion our B's should have done better and the same for your A's (B's got out of jail with that penalty miss of ours)"

"I get that, but there is gotta be some minimum level of competence esp for a seniors fixture".

A:

Your only goal was when our keeper got a little bored and decided to dribble the ball halfway down the pitch then walk back your player lobbed the ball from about 60m and we didn’t have anyone covering the line .. anyway gotta give the keeper some fun .. anyway we were already well undermanned and on top of that took our key B's players off at half time for the A's match.

Re the minimum level of competence .. he’s about 70 and took the piss out of your defenders one or two occasions so I strongly suggest you don’t lobby for the introduction of "Minimum Competency Levels"

Ps for what its worth we had another 67 or 68 year old player on the ground as well .. umm we did win the game .. :D

Cheers for the concern, he'll be ok.

But what I said wasn't an accusation, this came from our linesmans mouth and he isn't the type to bulls**t, either way we had 2 good contests that were only settled by a goal each....

No worries ACU ..as I mentioned previously your linesman handled himeself well and seemed like a reasonable guy so should be seen as a credit to your club .. if fact apart from a couple of the little things I have posted above in responses I have personally found your players to be well controlled and fairly impressive in that regard.

no game played ( pumas v uni ) game will more than likely be played at the end of the season if the points are needed from either team at headquarters.

Predictions!

ADEL PUMAS v. STHN BREAKERS (1-0) Close encounter but Pumas to get the points at home.
STRATHALBYN v. MURRAY BRIDGE (2-2) Hard to separate these two teams.
ST PETERS 2 v. BUDAPEST (1-1) St Peters starting to come good so might just snare a point on home turf
ADEL UNI 2 v. HAZARA (0-1) Hazara in an upset
FLINDERS 1 v. ACU FALCONS (2-0) Flinders to comfortably get themselves over the line.
