What a performance from our boys.. To win 2-0 with 10 men for 80 minutes against last years champions showed we only have one thing on our minds and that's to become 2012 champions. As for a few of the gardens supporters giving me shit about my ex go your hardest you biffs... Enjoy playing for pride in the second half of the year.

A's down to 9 for last 30 minutes, well in lads holding on for the win. Both teams down to 10 men about 20 minutes into the game, hope the peice of filth that spat on our keeper cops a lengthy ban.

Beograd v Knights

A's 2-2
B's 1-1

Very frustrating game in the B's, Beograd defended well and with a little help from their linesman and poor finishing did well to get a draw

In the first team we came back from 2-0 down to dominate last 30 and could have pinched a winner towards the end

Vale 3-0 down at half time with 2 of Easts goals very well taken. I dont think we created a clear chance in the first half and East deserved to go in to the break with a lead. 2nd half was completely opposite.... we scored early, Pommy Paul getting in behind the defence and finishing with power, and got a bit of wind in our sales. Created a few more half chances and started finding a few holes in the East defence. The coach made an inspired substitution with about 15mins to go    which almost paid off instantly with the east keeper making a good save with his feet after a bit of a scramble in the 18yrd box. Another scramble on the goal line from a corner saw us get another one back with a simple header, for Daniel Nichols, from 2yrds out. Our lads started to push hard for the draw and were rewarded with the equaliser, from a free kick which was placed perfectly on the head, again of Daniel Nichols, at the back post. With fire in the belly our lads wanted 3 points bad and pushed again, putting pressure on easties and when the ball fell invitingly for the on-rushing Daniel Nichols, he composed nicely from the top of the 18yrd box and volleyed perfectly into the bottom corner of the goal to send us 4-3 up and the crowed into raptures. East very unlucky not to equalise late on when one of their players hit one from distance which had Rosco beat but, luckily for us, rattled the crossbar and flew back into play. Great heart shown by our lads today and 3 points well earnt in the end!

Yea personally we lost that game the way we played in the 2nd half so credit to vale reserves for not giving in and bloody crossbar :x seems that luck is against us
little from column A, little from column B... you guys helped our cause in the 2nd half but our lads worked their asses off to get the result. You dont win from 3-0 down without a bit of luck  but besides the one that hit the crossbar i dont recall you lads having a shot in the 2nd half? (maybe a couple of half chances? I was busy trying to figure out which pocket i left that miracle in   ) One of the best games of football Ive ever been involved with, games like that are why I love the sport so much.

Can i just ask: Did every team in Div 2 have an official ref for the Bs? I've heard a rumour that the SAASL has an influx of refs now - something like 80 and Div 2 ressies will be getting a ref - we had one yesterday.

There was one at Beograd, I think he used to umpire Netball though

there was even one in the div 7 c fixture between Raptors and El Maco on sunday. He was exceptional, called the offsides against us by taking up a position of a linesman and then even awarded (from the same position) free kicks and penalties from approx 60 metres away.....

We (Farm) had a young lad ref the ressies game against Vista yesterday and I thought he did a better job than a lot of more experienced refs. I have seen him run the line for a while now in the A's and does a pretty good job. If he gets more experience doing the ressies gig I could see him turning out to be a very good A's ref in a couple of years time.

Agreed he did very well, was amazed to see the bloke we had last week at Fulham refereeing the Farm v Vista A grade yesterday, as he was hopeless the week before and got promoted to a first team fixture, bizarre. He booked our goal keeper last week for not retrieving the ball so the opposition could take a free kick towards our goals,

Wonder what Vista people think about the send off he gave yesterday?

He was dreadful. Had never seen him before like a few of your lads said. Ruined a very good competitive game. Only 25-30 mins in and sent him off. Not disputing the free kick and the first yellow (being for dissent) but the second was never there. Very card happy referee giving cheap yellows out and nothing for blatant free kicks. A few of your lads at the back couldn't believe the decisions going against us. But all in all was a fairly well spirited game. Always love playing the farm. Good bunch of lads best of luck for the season.

Who got sent off?

At the Fulham Vs Pontians game we had the German fella. Going by Bigpond's report no mention of him we can assume he has a decent game.

As for the game both teams had chances and it took a lucky shot/cross to win it. You need luck to get 3 points in same games and sometimes luck goes to the team that wants it more. I thought a draw would of been a fair result

At the last 4 games I have noticed referee inspectors. Has anyone else noticed this???

Saw in the photos of downs vs gardens an ex fed ref. Havent had him this year. where did this influx of ref come from??? We had an official ref in the B's too, but that has been the case for most B games this year

Dave Burton got sent. Just can't believe a player cab be sent off so early in a game for virtually nothing that would warrant a card in any other game

A:- Aguila 2 Noarlunga 2
B:- Aguila 1 Noarlunga 3

Funniest moment
Much has been said about a very bias b grade ref Aguila supplied
I'm assuming they had a new ref ... He was having an exceptional game and even gave Noarlunga a penalty .
Half way through the second half he drops his cards and whistle and walks off
Asking one if their players what happens the simple reply was
" we sacked him for not giving us enough frees"

All credit Vale ressies very good come back from 3-0 down and a deserved win. Poor effort from my guy's, can't complain we were beaten by the better side on the day. Young Nicholls showed he is a class player and had a real impact when he came on, he'll be good for the Vale if he is in that sort of form. Good sprited game, Vale a good bunch of blokes, all the best.
