EPL marches on
New broadcast deal for $5 billion for 3 years, an increase of nearly $1.7 billion over last time. Not bad given the current financial situation.
Makes it even more important to stay in it.

And I'm sure the EPL give a toss what you think.God is an Englishman wrote:bottle of shiraz great, the sooner the sky bubble bursts the better.

Get with the times. If it wasn't for those "overpaid foreigners", they wouldn't have got that deal.

Of course the FA don't care what I think, all they care about is money not football and the football fan.

GIAE is just upset that the money will only be going to Premier League clubs, so his side will never benefit from it

I do symapathise though (to some extent). What once was a league that any number of teams could vie for, is now one that just a handful of clubs (with propped up finances) are genuine contenderspernunz wrote:GIAE is just upset that the money will only be going to Premier League clubs, so his side will never benefit from it

I'm never winging, I'm a striker!
Clearly you've never been to England if that's what you think of it, what that's got to do with this though I have no idea. Feel free to start the account though.

No, please enlighten us. You seem to think you are the pre-eminent expert on all aspects of football, so please, we await your answer, or will you just take the easy way out as usual???

Agreed. I started the thread simply to publicise the deal the EPL got, and look what it's descended into.Del Boca Vista wrote:wow this is absolutely the worst forum i have ever seen
We should have a separate DAM and GIAE forum where they can play together.

and I gave my opinion on the deal, others then transcended it into slagging off England (like they always drop to). It's OK because I laugh in their general direction.
