If we could we would have the odd Friday. But church Sunday I would have to miss, now I'm old and can't stand my missuses whining. I can hear it now, you don't have to go on Sunday,and it goes on from there.
Bit I still fond a game to watch. Cup round this week.how ya goin old iggies.

Always??? I don't want to ruin your story champ with a few facts, but here you go:

1. Last year we played ONE Friday Night League game all Season. It was away from home.
2. Blue Eagles asked us if this fixture would be played on a Friday night, something we were happy to agree with.
3. We had 6 "First Team" players missing on Friday. 4 of those have long term injuries (would've missed a Sunday game), 1 is O'seas (would've missed Sunday) and 1 was unavailable (Could've played if the game was Sunday). So technically we would've had a stronger team if the game was on Sunday.
4. We've had 4 home games so far this year, 3W - 1D - 0L, and only one was a friday night.

The notion that we somehow turn into a Superstar team on Friday Nights is bizarre, and I don't know where it came from.....

The only reason we aim to play the occasional Friday Night game is to engage the wider Western Strikers community. We have a lot of Juniors and also our 3 Super League teams and we find that they are more likely to come and support us on a Friday night rather than a Sunday afternoon. It's as simple as that. More support, more revenue over the bar.
