Good game in the A's. Thought monarchs had the better of it in the first half. Comets have a strong defense though that made it hard for us to break down. Missed the second half though so I am unsure how that went.

No distinct advantage to any side, but ruined what was going to be a good game.

A: Stirling 3 BOSA 6
Lets just say from the start a very physical game, lots of body work in the challenges and willing tackles. There'll be players on both sides with sore ribs and ankles after that one.
10 minutes in, penalty to BOSA, 0-1 and Stirling down to 10 men. Stirling pull it back to 1-1 and hold a determined BOSA off till half time. Some pointing fingers and "come on then" as the players go off, with the ref keeping a close eye.
Stirling surprise BOSA at the start of the second half and go 2-1 up. BOSA step up a gear to dominate the game again and pull it back to 2-2, then quickly score again for 2-3.
BOSA keep the ball well & Stirling hold their own but can't get enough possession to mount any pressure of their own. Score goes to 2-4 then 2-5 in stages, then BOSA sat back a little which let Stirling back into the play. We're starting to hold some possession & mount some pressure, finally putting the ball in the net but its called back for offside.
BOSA score again on the break, before Stirling deservedly get a third with a penalty late on for the 3-6 final score.
This BOSA side look good, midfield tough physically & skillful, strikers clinical. Looking forward to the return leg to see 11 v 11.

B: Stirling 2 BOSA 0
Finally a deserved win for the B's who took their chances. BOSA not happy with our ref, but they had enough chances of their own which they didn't capitalise on.

C: Stirling 0 BOSA 3
Disappointed with the score, as we had chances, but BOSA aren't top of the ladder for nothing.

FMD....even I have scored... ...He is a quality player no doubt, we will see how much of a "walk in the park" it is...

I will say his ankles are a little safer but the pressure will be no less....

Only playing a few games as a favour, due to us having 3-4 players out with Suspensions/Injuries.
Doubt he'll play that many.
Was good for the younger lads to have an opportunity to play with someone who's played at the highest level in the country.
