Fixtures

Post by Canine »

I believe the fixtures have been sent out for Sunday Div 1 & 2 teams. There appears to have been 5 teams promoted from Div 3 last year to Div 2. Can anyone else confirm this??

wouldnt think so, would be a joke if the side which finished seventh went up or were even offered the opportunity. i know croatia werent real keen on going uo so i dont know what will happen there

Dont be suprised Sparts if you do get an invitation to get promoted from 7th, we didnt know anything about it until we received a letter and if a few teams aren't overly interested in being promoted the opportunity may be presented to you. I suppose it all depends on whether the clubs feels it can be competitive in that div.

i think its a sad site when half the league can get promoted on the basis that others dont want to go up! its also sad that there are so many teams pulling out or transferring to sat league. so canine have u lads been asked about going up?i looked at the final standings again last night and the 'middle teams' were all very close

Hey Sparts, being asked to be promoted would have been nice I suppose. We received a letter in the mail with the complete fixtures for Div 1 & 2 with us been listed as a Div 2 team...news to us!. Agree with you that it is disappointing that half the div gets promoted it sort of devalues the top 2 finish. As I said tho, if a team is confident of being competitive in a div higher they should take the opportunity.

How do you think the Vikings will go?
A mate plays for the Strikers and said that they didnt look to bad considering what they went through last year.

Anyone know if div3 has been done yet :?:
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

Faaaaark me...I hear the Croats have lost a few players. Hope I'm wrong, but it could be a long season coming up for the boys in Div 2.

They'll also be disappointed...no "balkan" derbies against the Bosnians and Maso's in Div 3 if this is the case.
