Why post rubbish on here legga? You weren't there and no comments need to be made. Pontians won, players went into their clubroom after the game spent money over the bar, all good

Hows our mate Hose doing down there?

so why did the grove presso approach your marshall to tell him he was going to report him,it actually came from someone that witnnessed your marshalls disgracfull tantrum. You call it rubbish I call it your trying to hide this from the league and people on here because we all know what a joke your marshall is. Seem to recall him being restrained when the downs jockeys were giving him grief at your crappy new ground, and the hose is doing fine thanks had a run yesterday slowly getting into the swing of it, you need to worry about your own biff squad and officials......still havent answered why he threw the chair oh wait maybe he was being a gentleman and offering his seat to the coach...

Knight15 wrote:Knights v Beach

In the reserves was a great contest as someone said Knights were up 3-0 after 30 minutes but Beach got a goal back and at halftime was definitely game on. Beach then dominated next 30 mins scoring 3 and going 4-3 up. Knights fought back and made it 4-4. With 2 minutes left Knights scored again to edge it 5-4.

Great to have a few players back, was also great to have an official ref who did a great job. Have copped a couple of "home team" refs this year when playing away, so good to win a fair game

In the A's Knights started strong scored one and should have had another couple. Beach scored a great goal - not sure if the guy could do it again but there you go. Was more even after halftime with Beach possibly stronger for first 20. They scored with about 18 minutes to go then it was all Knights but we just couldn't finish

Another frustrating game for the first team but getting closer
Good to catch up with West Beach club stalwart and former SAASL Committee person Peter Beesley...

Dear chocolate nougat, none of the Downs supporters on here have even mentioned being champions! Legga, Geezer & Co. are obviously very happy where we stand at the moment. If Keegan wants to try and be a Manccini and say we've won already; good on him. By the way; we'll worry about this weeks game before we get around to spanking your ass!!
Its great that the Mongs had the Forskinsight to put away $1000 a year for the past 50 years.....

After that thrashing you guys should definitely be on top. Hope you guys haven't humiliated them to much, their seconded thrashing in a row that they forfeit against us Payneham boys this weekend. that would defiantly be the pits :(
Are they just really crap or are they just struggling for players?
They definately lost the plot in the last 10... the keeper went ballistic and started smashing the goal post over and over, all the players were arguing.
We told them to keep their heads up, and have a crack at beating some of the lower teams in the div.. Im pretty sure Spiro was looking forward to the Payneham game as well. They shouldn't forfeit.
Apparently 6 out of the first team at the moment... but I'm not sure how much truth is in that lol.

OK Guys why would a chair be thrown by a Pontian supporter at 2-0 up and dominating the game???

I dont need to comment on what I saw. The facts are Pontians won! :D

Its was a win that puts us into 6th spot and we look forward to playing Inter this week.

The pontian guy acted like a muppet then some pontian official who thought he was was the man decided to get involved, i'm assuming its the guy legga was talking about because he looked like a repeat offender in the tantrum category. He came into the Grove technical area and was asked to leave for some calm, but like the great man he is persisted to stay and at one point got in the Grove's coaches face and had to be pulled away.

Oh but it doesn't end there, after the game while grove players are walking off he goes on the pitch and has another crack -- Acted like a moron, looked like a moron put a dampener on Pontians win. Some people just cant let go I spose.

Why not post a report about the game??? anyone from Grove want to talk about that??? Two post or three posts, 4 great saves from your keeper and a missed penalty??? Oh thats right not worth talking about the reason we were there...

I'm from the grove, I said it put a dampener on your win, a lot of the people on this forum struggle with basic comprehension. I accepted you won, why wont you accept your marshall acted like a tool. The first step to fixing a problem is accepting there is a problem.

Hard to hear what was said and the exact movements when your on the other side of the pitch

No team, supporters, and club is perfect. We all have problems and we do try to fix them. Some are easier than others

Here you go then.

Elizabeth Grove vs Pontian Eagles

PONTIAN Eagles have ended a four game winless run with a 2-1 win over Elizabeth Grove at Dauntsey Rd.

Both sides came into the game searching for their first win since round one and it was Pontian who started the better taking the lead on 15 minutes when Novica Mimic collected the ball at the back post before making some room for himself and firing the visitors 1-0 up.

The lead was doubled on 25 minutes when a cross was only semi cleared and Mimic was on hand to finish from 18 yards and collect his 2nd brace in as many weeks.

Pontian were on top and when striker Anthony Matteo’s shot rattled the cross bar the Peckers were trying to hang on.

After the break Pontian continued their dominance but couldn’t put the home team away.

On 80 minutes Pontian won a penalty when Matteo was taken down in the box but Matteo’s spot kick was kept out by Anthony Hulls.

The Grove were sparked into life by substitute Nathan Pettit and when he whipped in a ball from out wide Lindsay Cooper’s shot was blocked by the keeper but Cooper reacted quickest to give the Peckers a life line.

It was a nervy last few minutes for Pontian who had given away a three goal lead the previous week but they held on to collect what may prove a vital three points at the end of the season.

Pontian coach George Kargiotis “We are showing at the start of games that we are switched on but we need to continue that into 2nd halves. I’m very pleased with the win”.

Elizabeth Groves Shane Ferdinand “The whole club is really disappointed with the result we push on to Elizabeth Vale next week”.

And by the way the Pontian supporter was a disgrace and your marshall should realise he is representing your club when he puts on that vest.

We went down 3-1. In it until about the 60th then we collapsed, 3 goals in ten minutes. Game over.
Scored a scrappy goal at the end.

Agreed you can't go to give the ball back and the have a striker run onto the ball and score... Bunch of cheats...
Over 20 years of playing and that's the worst sportsmanship I've ever seen - to say you're going to give the ball back then to play it over the top of the defense, run on to it and slot it past the keeper one on one. Very very poor form!!

Tbh from the sidelines we actually had no idea that had happened, I think it was lagati that scored but I'm sure it would have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication between the players if that was the case, it's happened in the premier league before. The way the westies keeper and number 5 antagonisied and whinged to the Beagles supporters was pretty poor also considering we had no idea, acted like a couple of two year olds who had just taken their dummy off of them hence some of us biting back, a few of the players and coaches had the decency to come over for a chat afterwards tho all agreeing it was a good game and in the end a draw was a pretty fair result.

Yeah as a player I can understand having go at the opposition players but I'm pretty sure both sets of supporters weren't entirely sure what happened, so inciting them isn't gonna prove anything.
