A tough battle for Gardens on the top pitch against a physical, well organised East side. Gardens should have killed the game in the first half after at least a couple of glaring missed chances, and paid for it as the game became congested and in places spiteful. The referee played his usual style of letting the physical stuff go and jumping on the inevitable backchat, however I have seen worse displays from him.......

Thanks to brahma for their hospitality. A draw in the As would have been a fair result I think but we couldn't take our chances, whilst Brahma tool theirs. Nothing flashy about them but they are well drilled, structured, hard and play to their strengths.

Sth v west beach

B's 5-4
very entertaining game. Sth 3 up before wb getting back to 4-3 up then Sth scored 2 goals in th last 5 to win 5-4

A's 1-2 to beach
Sth started strong took an early lead after a good set piece
West beach slow to get into it but towards the end of the first started to put some pressure on after a well taken goal after the keeper intercepted a through ball but cleared it strait to our RM who lobed the keeper from the edge of the centre circle.
Second half west beach pressing a bit more and Sth loosing a bit of cohesion in the final 3rd, prob had west beach creating more chances and slightly on top, west beach converted one of those chances with 20 to go, beach then sat back a little with Sth pushing but lacking creativity to find the equalizer.
Sth probably felt they should have got at least a draw
But beach got the 3 points in a hard faught match

Easy win and sets up a big game against Gardens this week to c who goes top.


B team

Fulham 1 - Vista 2

Better effort this week but still not enough.

1-0 down at half time Fulham and got a penalty in the 2nd to make it 1-1.

Vista got another with 15 to go and Fulham couldn't get it back.


A Team

Fulham 2 - Vista 0

1st half Vista had the better chances apart from a Tony B free kick for Fulham that was well saved.

2nd half all Fulham and 2 cracking goals from Tony B.

Vista 2 sent off as they started to lose it and they now know if they didn't already that Div 1 ain't easy.

Big game against Gardens this week.

Over 20 years of playing and that's the worst sportsmanship I've ever seen - to say you're going to give the ball back then to play it over the top of the defense, run on to it and slot it past the keeper one on one. Very very poor form!!

Very entertaining game. Brahma unlucky not to have taken a 3-1 lead but from there it was a Florina onslaught for the last 15 mins

Cheers to the Florina lads for demolishing our BBQ and being kind to the linesman as the game went down to the wire

Wow.

Obviously it would be good to hear the Blue Eagles version, but if that is what happened I would suggest that it is in the 'underarm bowl' category and may be something the club will never fully shake.
