How did your C2s go?
Meeting Isobel on Wednesday night actually for the West Torrens SEC. After listening to Craig Thomson today, you can do anything and get away with it

Western Strikers canned the game on Saturday night with not enough players.
They had 13 against us two weeks ago? That's poor.

West Torrens - mate, you'd need a swing of what, 10-12% to take that away from Kouts. Might as well run for Croydon or Ramsey while you're at it.
It was disappointing.

I wouldn't run in this election. Doubt I ever will espcially in there considering I've lived there a whole year. The swing needed is even more I think :( Would need some good redistrubitions to take it off him but hopefully make a dent at least.

Kouts would be next in line for Premier if something happened to Jay I would of thought
Popular amongst the dominant faction though so he will fancy himself a chance as leader.

Anyway, this isn't really about Amateur Football is it

Wow, did it take you a while to come out with that?

Not bad, considering your Turkish heritage and the fact that the Pontians are immigrants to modern Greece.

Last time I checked, Florina was an actual region in Northern Greece - what region of Greece are you from?

LOL @ Western Strikers C team.

Western Strikers Cs are not really part of western strikers!

Their Cs team doesn't get help from the Bs. they have a shirt that says western strikers but the don't stand for or provide any benefit to wester strikers.

very lucky win, Inter deserved better but didn't see anyone from Inter cry so don't know what you're on about!
Yes credit has to go to Earl, Inter are a good squad & played very well. It was a good game but Gardens won 2-1 to say Inter deserved better is hilarious they lost! (it's like saying Man U deserved better)
Our defender brought down a Inter Player with a heal clip just outside the box, he was last man but the referee gave him benifit of the doubt & a Yellow card very debatable.
The tissues were required after the game when a number of Inter players & officials had a go at the referee for not sending our player off, poor form I thought

And who are you to tell the truth

Dominant force of previous years....lol. What the hell are you on there sirstevig? Where's the respect for the other 3 or 4 teams in both years that pushed Gardens the whole way in all competitions. They may well have won the choclates at the end but your pulling a long bow to say they were dominant.

Win every game comfortably like the Downs look to be doing this year - that's dominant.

Didn't realize you were that close to our club? You may know some of the players as many of them have played at WC over the years but I dispute your claim that b's players haven't helped the C's team this season. From the few games we have played at least 6-7 players from either of the other two teams have filled in and helped.
What benefits do a C grade provide a club, support the bar, buy food, pay rego fees, assist the higher grades if needed etc. All of which our boys have contributed to thus far.
The C grade squad are a group of friends who have come to our club this year and we are happy to have them, it is our clubs job to ensure they enjoy the facilities, the people and of course the football. We can then build on the numbers of club members we have.
Last w/end 5 reserves players were in the first team squad which contributed to the forfeit in the C's.

I saw the Grove play in a pre season trial game, all young kids, with a lot of endeavour and with some talent. They reminded me very much of the young Para Hills East team of the early 80's,just before they became dominant - give these kids time, and if they stay together, will do very well in 2-3 years imo.

Maybe it's you spending time in your car at half time. I've seen a fair few games in the last couple of years and apart from one memorable 9-2 win I don't remember a lot more dominant wins. But hey you have a different idea of dominance. I seem to remember florina and pontians were well in with a chance in each of those seasons as well as a few others and quite a few hard games where we ground out a result - hardly dominant.

We choked in 2010 if truth be told. We should have gone back to back that year but dropped our bundle. Credit to the Gardens though, they kept us honest all season and beat us at their ground after we took a 1-0 lead that pretty much gave them the title.

Nobody gives anybody a Title, you have to earn it and that they did. Mate cld give you a few diff reasons for Florina not winning it that year and going back to back, to say choked is a strong word imo, dropping a bundle well yes you cld use that term I guess, but the fact is Florina didn't Gdns did. If an Aunty had balls it wld be an Uncle in other words coulda woulda shoulda but didn't!!!!
As for dominant, 2 or 3 losses in 2 years is a Dominant Team in any League in the World, regardless of how many games you smashed or didn't smash Teams. When you get to the finish line who remembers if you smashed a team in rnd 3 nobody I wld suspect!
As for Sunday's game I thought it was a scratchy performance by the Gdns and yes Inter cld have got a draw out of it but the fact is Gdns did enough to win and that they did. I also thought there was a covering defender when the striker was tripped(professional foul)from behind correctly resulting in a yellow card as he wasn't the last man hence no red card. Looking forward to seeing the Downs Juggernaut Show V the Gdns in rnd 9 at the Gdns remembering a thrilling 3-3 draw last year there, b4 Gdns having a DOMINANT  win at the Downs in the return leg.....

It's 2 defeats mate in 2 years, Farm away in 2010 & the other by the Vale in 2011... & still undefeated in 2012 :D

As Brooksy mentioned score line doesnt matter it's the 3 points & league ladder that counts, nobody remembers who wins 5 nil if you finish the season 2nd

I agree with You Too on this one.
Think people are confusing not losing and winning with "dominance".
You can still win things without dominating, however, you can dominate winning things.
i.e. is winning a game on penalties dominating ?
Can't take any titles away from Gardens, but of all their games that I was at and photographed in the last 2 seasons, I don't recall too many games they "dominated"...won yes, but not dominated !

Dominate
verb (used without object)
6.
to rule; exercise control;. Gardens didnt rule or control every game but won most
7.
to occupy a commanding or elevated position. At the end of the last 2 seasons they did occupy / have an elevated position

Gardens dominated the top of the ladder last 2 seasons as are the Mongs now.
Gardens didnt dominate in all the games they played, some they ground out wins to be the dominant team.

To dominate is to control, Gardens controlled their destiny to win 2 leagues & cups. They are yet to lose a game
as are the Mongs so come round 9 we may see the Dominant dominating team dominate !!

2011 you dominated, no argument.

2010 you only jumped us three games before season closed, you couldn't argue you dominated that year BUT

If you only take league position and cup wins as the only deciding factor of "domination", then yes, you dominated. BUT it all depends on how you interpret the data.

The Fact is you can Dominate with 6 Nill wins all you like but that don't win you League Championships winning the most games during a season does, the GARDENS have done that for the last 2 years & as such have been the Dominant Team.
I struggle to understand how any of you can even argue over this one, especially a Gardens Supporter?

Not always example...,

Played 18 won 14 lost 4 = 42 points
Played 18 won 13 lost 0 Drawn 4 = 43 = Winners despite winning less games

Nuggett, its about how you read the data.

We dominated in 2009 and right through to Round 16 2010, when you beat us and took our spot at the top.

Until then you hadn't dominated.

That's why I'm saying, if you're only marker for domination is League and Cup wins, then your argument is correct. But, if you take results wholly, then your domination has been from Round 16, 2010-2011.

Look at Juve in Italy for example. They didn't lose this year abut still almost lost the league (because of draws) - if Milan had jumped them, who would you have said was the dominant team? An undefeated Juve, who finished 2nd or Milan who finished 1st.
